Both of the scenes with that song in the series were among my favorites. The montage of George acting like he was handicapped around the office, and that montage of Kramer pretending to be a businessman lol
" Jerry let's face it, I've always been handicapped. Now I'm just getting the recognition for it". Has to be one of my most favorite lines of the whole series
They were too busy giving Emmys to cheesecake actresses like Christina Applegate. That alone should tell you that it is not based on talent and sheerly on looks.
@@SuperN1ntendoChalmers Not always. Jim Parsons won an Emmy for Sheldon Cooper and Antony Starr, despite having a pretty boy face, hasn't even been nominated for his performance as Homelander on The Boys.
@@suburbantimewaster9620 You must have missed the part where I said talent, something Christina Applegate did not have. Jim Parsons is one of the best actors I have ever seen. Jim is a pretty boy by the way. I do not know of Antony Starr, so I can not say anything about him. Maybe others outshined him in their series?
She played a Klingon in a Star Trek movie, a very grownup lady. Jason as a scifi fan has guest starred in Star Trek and other such shows too, he probably knew her already through his scifi involvement.
the thing is, how hard is it to stay in character? If I was in George's position i would be paranoid about losing a good job, i'd be faking it everywhere. Instead he's pretend sword-fighting in his own office. Doesn't even remember which leg is bad.. He's just brazen about it
@@Eralen00 This happens every time something goes his way just a bit too much. George has the unfortunate habit of getting cocky and arrogant about it until it blows up in his face. He can't help but get smug about it.
George really should have been more careful. I'm reminded of something Mark Twain said: "if you're telling the truth, you don't have to have a good memory". On her show, Judge Judy used that quote a lot.
The funny thing about George is as low down dirty he can be he does things that we all wonder if we can pull off. I seriously contemplated sleeping under my desk before that episode came along lol
Jerry hearing the beep outside his door and George rolling in when he opens it saying “well you’re not gonna believe what happened” is one of the most underrated Seinfeld moments of all time.
It was written by Alec Berg and Jeff Schaffer and David Mandel. Larry David quit at Season 7, didn't write for Season 8, and only wrote the finale for Season 9.
@@labodeguita9573 Seinfeld's crew of writers don't get the recognition they deserve! They were awesome too and many times all that Larry and Jerry had to do was polish the jokes or intertwine the storylines.
I am Handicapped / Disabled and yet the Australian Army wanted to Commission Me by Direct Appointment and put Me into the Uniform of a Colonel in the Royal Australian Corps of Military Police, by suspending all requirements for Medical and Psychological Examinations because they knew in advance that ordinarily I’d never Pass their normal Stringent Requirements.
4:12 old man reacted with opening mouth to the side, and a second later the camera changed, the same thing is shown from a different angle but this time you can hear the woman voice
it's not that far-fetched that someone can drive a car with no arms. When I was in elementary school we were showed a video of a mother who had no arms but she was tying her kids shoes with her feet and she was even driving a car. She had was a large 1980s sedan with a column shift.
I like the recruitment scene; the man who is doing hiring tried to keep it politically correct as much as possible while giving a damn about it. Soo very real indeed.
That Rascal scooter was purchased from a company called Electric Mobility in Mantua NJ, I worked there during that time and the company was beyond thrilled that their product was gonna be on Seinfeld....sales went through the roof after that....I was making Lawyer type money as a sales rep after that episode
The older I get and the more I watch the show I realize how incredibly funny the show was and how Jason Alexander was one of the best parts of that show
Yeah, Seinfeld himself is rather overrated. Actually, I find him kind of boring if I re-watch the old episodes. Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jason Alexander were the best imho.
@@bsvenss2I like him. Having him as ‘normal’ makes the other characters funnier in contrast, that’s a super common technique in comedy, and a lot of people’s favourite. Another good example is Micheal in Arrested Development, you could argue his character is ‘boring’ but it’s deliberate because it creates friction and helps further exaggerate the comedic traits of the more overdramatic characters!
@@bsvenss2I agree but Seinfeld is playing the "straight man" you need someone "boring" and bland like him for all of the other zany characters to play off of. I actually find his non acting has a certain charm when I re watch.
That's because George was based on Larry David, who was the real soul of the show. Jerry doesn't have that kind of bent in his brain to come up with these characters and stories.
@@sprtrnds7880 I don't know if it's a rhetorical question or not, but yes it is, both exist, I would use Google Translate for the definition of each one: " The term immoral can be used to define an action, a thought or any other object. It is something that is contrary to what the mores consider to be in accordance with their values. " VS " ( Amoral ) Who is ignorant, is a stranger to the principles of morality. "

@@kbanghart more precisely adreneline which gives superhuman strength in times of crises. Here George feared the righteous wrath of the seniors chasing him in their Rascals.
A couple of little trivia notes: That line about him feeling like a gargoyle is a nod to The Hunchback of Notre Dame, where Jason played one of the gargoyles. The woman carrying him down the hall played the Klingon ship's first officer in Star Trek V.
