I always thought she was one of the prettiest if not the prettiest only-seen-once-characters on the show.

I'm part Finn... In my family some of the real older Finn's were very stoic. There was much alcoholism and suicides by the Finns in the place I lived.. Obviously she doesn't come close to acting or talking like a Finn but it is okay.. it is just a funny show.. Her name Rava is more indicative of her accent Estonia, Ukraine. Raija would've been more Finn.

For all the American people not familiar with Finns, think of a depressed woman from Minnesota and there you have your typical Finnish woman. This character is more like a Russian. No woman in Finland looks like Rava either (totally made up name). I don't know what's with this Finland thing with Seinfeld. You would expect they'd have even some basic knowledge about Finland since they use it a lot in the episodes, but no.

Finland are you kidding me! This is more like really oppressed people in Russia or the Ukraine.Perhaps the Balkans?

If this scene were updated for 2020, Elaine and Rava would be waiting for the elevator, standing six feet apart...Elaine would be wearing a hazmat suit, mask and plastic face shield and a shower cap...Rava would be unmasked, but not smoking...on the elevator would be two people in masks and hazmat suits, standing six feet apart...with big signs inside the elevator mandating social distancing...one of the elevator passengers would yell at Rava to wear a face mask. Rava would reply, "MAYBE I COUGH ON YOUR FACE!"

Nurit Koppel killed this role! A strong intimidating opinionated woman is good thing.love her verbal exchange with Elaine in the elevator about the degrees of coincidences, there are no big coincidences and small coincidences there are just coincidences! Well?that was pure genius. Too bad she didn't do more episodes.i loved that character.

I love a lot of Seinfeld segments. However, this one is not a good segment: Bad casting, wrong accent, wrong stereotype.

Perhaps not, because he's talking about Scandinavians, and Karelia isn't in Scandinavia, neither is Finland, so... 🙁
