Stress is a MAJOR trigger for seizures! Even if her condition was stable, the insane stress and fear she would have felt could have triggered a seizure! How did they charge her for this with no actual evidence? 6. She had NO bruises or scrapes or any other wounds saying he fought back against her? 7. How’d she tie up her own arms behind her back? Emily did I miss where the police took her to get checked out at the hospital? It seems like doctors would have the ability to review her symptoms and the bump she had on her head which could have provided credence in her story. Can you tell me also, is there a blood test that would indicate a seizure has happened kind of like the one ran when a person has a heart attack? The one for the heart attack, troponin, is released after a heart attack and signals heart damage. That blood test is used to determine if a heart attack occurred. It seems like their should be some sort of medical test to verify a seizure as well, but I have no idea. I hope you're doing well. I've heard seizures are awful.

You genuinely do black out when you’re having a seizure, and it can take up to half an hour to properly come to/realise what’s going on around you. I understand what she’s saying as well when she said she forgets her own name sometimes as well, that’s definitely possible. Them mentioning her recent medical records and saying she hasn’t had any seizures recently is essentially redundant as well, because people can go for literal years without seizures and they can come back completely out of the blue without any explanation (I personally went for almost 3 years with nothing happening and then bam, they were back and worse than they’d ever been before). It would’ve been so helpful to have someone on her team who was medically trained in this area. I really feel for her, this is honestly my worst nightmare, and probably any other epileptic’s as well. The majority of the time when there’s a stabbing with a knife, the person who is doing the stabbing gets cut at least once. And with a victim that had been stabbed _thirty times,_ there would DEFINITELY be a lot of blood on the knife making it slippery and whoever did it would have almost certainly cut themselves. She did not do this. With all the defensive wounds he had and how much blood there was, she would have had signs on her body, _especially_ her hands. To convict someone of murder, the prosecution has to prove they did it _beyond a reasonable doubt._ There is so much doubt in this case it’s ridiculous. Stories like this make me _never_ want to talk to the police w/o my LAWYER present.

If you are innocent, you should ESPECIALLY refuse to speak with the police unless your counsel is present. It doesn't matter how it looks, they are going to blame you! "I do not consent to a search and I want my lawyer as is protected by the 4th and 5th Amendments to the Constitution of the United States of America." Practice saying this out loud. Over and over. Make it easy to say even when under the high stress and panic that comes when being questioned by an intimidating authority figure. It's hard to overcome the fight/flight/freeze reaction coming from your amygdala. Learning about the violent death of beloved one triggers this reaction and then they come at you when your defenses are broken down. They will bully you into admitting something you didn't do.

Yeah i've had one seizure in my life and it's because i got a vaccine, fainted and fell off my chair. The nurses said that the fall probably caused the seizure, along with my body going into shock really cause i hadn't eaten and just had stuff injected into me. But it's not that hard to believe that a blow to the head could trigger a seizure.

The jury foreman said, "Is it absolutely provable? No." Isn't that reasonable doubt?

Patricia Barajas Most definitely, but I don’t have any doubt! It was clearer than that. If the relatives couldn’t untie her ties, without scissors, how on earth could she have tied them herself?? It’s ridiculous.

This video makes me not only angry. It makes me scared that through conjecture someone can be convicted of such a heinous crime. I pray whoever did this is brought to justice.
