Wow. Perfectly done. I am playing this in Northcountry band and representing my school in the percussion section, and I cannot wait to play his piece. You guys perfected it. Well done.
This is very nice but anyone saying it's "perfect" clearly doesn't know the music. The last section (He's a pirate) is played with all the quick notes as two sixteenth notes instead of the correct two tuplets. This must be some kind of artistic choice because we know they didn't just all play it wrong but still, it's difficult to listen to.
My god , I'm so young and I have to play the first trumpet part for me and I'm the only one playing :( But Its nice to play it Stress~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am grade 8 and in our band there are 8 clarinets. 3 of us are playing the first part and the notes are SO high! We never learnt them before. But we are pretty much the ones who have the most of the melodie and when we saw it we were like. Wut. HOW THE HELL ARE WE SUPPOSE TO PLAY THIS?!?! But we are playing on opening day so we can't mess up. Well, let's do are best and practice buddy. YOU CAN DO THIS
Middle and High School combined bands played this and there were about 22 trumpets in 8th grade. I and 2nd chair trumpet got 1st trumpet while 3rd chair down got 3rd trumpet. It took up many of my hours just trying to increase my range up to the D above the staff. The concert was a success and now I'm getting pieces that make this song seem like Mary had a Little Lamb.
there's a senior conductor concert on my school and I'm playing this. its so hard conducting to 6/4, 4/4 then 5/4 back to 4/4 to 3/4 then again back to 4/4 I got so scared when I turned the page LOL
Nothing against the orchestra, but this should have never been attempted by pure wind. It is so soft and so rounded, entirely out of character of the Pirates of The Caribbeans. To be brutally honest, I think this is the most boring rendition I have ever seen on YT.
The wind version is fine. Stringed instruments are actually softer and the original version is more round. This is not one of the most boring renditions. This band did a fantastic job and when a band does this good of a job, then it won't be boring. It's powerful and beautiful at the same time. And the Pirates of the Caribbean is powerful and beautiful at the same time as well.
