Xiang Yu's prediction ability is completely insane by the way... During an event, he's literally able to predict the plans of lovecraftian deities. Like, not only does he predict they're gonna try something, he predicts exactly what they're gonna do, how they're gonna do it, devises an entire counter plan, and leave clues to figure things out later before shutting down to conserve his energy consumption. He does all this just based in it being a vehicle test drive, and all before anyone even knows anything is wrong. Man just says, "Okay I don't have time to explain, but just trust me." Oh, I also forgot to mention that he maps out an entire oceanic trench network by SCREAMING and drawing a map based on how the sound reverberates. Gigabrain doesn't even begin to describe this man.

Something funny: That summer event basically gets turned into a horror movie scenario. Yu Mei-ren Lancer has never watched a horror movie in her life, so she keeps making horror movie mistakes that everyone else knows to avoid, like approaching a downed zombie thinking it is dead and getting bitten or taking a shower and getting slashed like in Psycho. Her immortality and regeneration is the only reason she survives, otherwise she dies as many times as Kenny from South Park.

The SIN chapter have used Xiang Yu's poem multiple times, the "what would your fate be" in this version is him worrying over Yu Mei-ren, not from what the enemy would do to her or how she could survive, but in how his beloved would fare for the rest of eternity alone as she cannot die and no mortal could harm her. Obviously, they would never meet in an afterlife normally since they both aren't human, one being a machine and the other an immortal. It is very intriguing to me how they managed to spin a few lines in a poem into a whole ass depressing fairytale.

48:24 a couple of corrections to your story. A) the alien god didnt intend to resurrect all of team A. She only needed one person Wodime the Head of Chaldea’s personal student who had the means to allow the alien god to manifest on earth. However Wodime bargained with the alien god that she would have to resurrect all of team A to get his cooperation which she agreed to but Wodime as to endure pain 6 times more to resurrect them all. B) the alien god didn’t need 7 lostbelt she only needed one. Again this was Wodime’s suggestion to the alien god that even if the alien god had an ideal lostbelt in mind to manifest on it would be better to have seven in case one of the other 6 lostbelts can become an even more promising place. C) the reason why Yu is asked to join Chaldea is because her body allows her to survive the rayshift process and she joins because Chaldea is far from any form of human society. D) the reason why Yu chooses to join the throne of heroes is because it was believed that if she were to be part of the throne of heroes the odds of her husband being summoned is greatly increased because her acknowledgement of his positive qualities would classify him as a heroic spirit. Also when we summon Yu after this she is royally annoyed because unlike most servants she has full knowledge of “Us” because we knew her while she was still alive.

To explain the difference between Consort Yu, an Elemental, and True Ancestors, while True Ancestors were a collaborative group project between the Earth and “the Moon”(from which TAs inherited their literal bloodlust), Elementals like Yu were born solely of the Earth.

That one artwork of a battlefield with a man wielding a sword the only one standing is meant to be of Xiang Yu's proper non centaur body (aka how he looked in actual history as opposed to his greatly modified Lostbelt design). The body looked pretty convincingly human so it makes sense that he wasn't suspected of being a robot. There's several smokers in Chaldea (Cu and Sherlock among them, but obviously it ain't them), so between the worthy prince, the fruit marksman and the Clocktower Lord, I'm going with Sekhie finally being able to review her surly gamer husbando.

funfact: the Caster of Fate/Zero was going to be a xian like Yu before Nasu stopped Urobuchi and explained Xians are way too strong as they're literally Gods among other things about them. There's definitly something weird about them as fgo makes it no secret they shouldnt be able to be summoned, but are faking being dead to classify as servants lol

34:31 Minor correction: he never gets named Xiang Yu in the timeline of Lostbelt 3 until the Crypter Akuta Hinako (= Consort Yu) shows up and calls him that. If you pay attention you can see that all inhabitants of the Lostbelt just call him Kuaiji Zero (the name given as part of the project he was created in).

34:35 In the Lostbelt, Xiang Yu name was still his... model number, I guess you could call it, Kuaiji Zero. It's Yu Mei-Ren in the present that keeps calling him Xiang Yu, since that's what she knew him as. The Proper Human History characters default to his Propewr Human History name, since that's more familiar to them. And I'm pretty sure Qin Shi Huang calls him that sometimes when talking with Yu Mei-Ren as a small concession to her, since she prefers that and they are in a partnership of sorts. You know, I keep thinking, Chinese Lostbelt's Xiang Yu never met Yu Mei-Ren in late 3rd century BC. I wonder how awkward it would have been for Proper Human History Yu Mei-Ren, if that wasn't the case. Like, she goes there and LB Xiang Yu is already snuggling it up with LB Yu Mei-Ren. As for Liu Bang, what we know so far is that Xiang Yu saw Liu Bang as the only one who could peacefully rule over China, but he wasn't ready yet. So Xiang Yu organized conflicts that would force Liu Bang to grow. He cut down the lands (or population, one or the other) to something manageable to Liu Bang. And he united those who would be an obstacle to Liu Bang under his own banner, so that in Xiang Yu's losses they would perish as well. Also, Liu Bang has a "dragon factor". Liu Bang apparently has a legend about being conceived after his mother encountered a dragon, so I think that tracks. Although I'm not sure, what exactly the dragon factor does. I think Artoria also has it. It should be said, that while Yu Mei-Ren dislikes most humans, she didn't isolate herself from them completely as soon as Xiang Yu died. She did have at least one human friend some seven and a half centuries later. Not sure if he is in your schedule. She is very abrasive with Fujimaru, mostly because she has no idea how the social dynamic between them should work. On one hand they are a high-rank incarnated spirit and a lousy human, on the other - they are a Servant and her Master, and they are former enemies. Also she hates doing anything for the benefit of humans, but it's precisely her accepting the role of protector of Human Order that allowed her to be summoned in Chaldea and be reunited with Xiang Yu. She also has a secret stash of various trinkets, like ancient pottery, that if unveiled to the world, would completely flip how we perceive ancient Chinese art. And she is willing to auction it all off, when she keeps losing money gambling. Xiang Yu didn't tell her that she would lose it all, because to him Yu's passionate engrossment in the activity showed that she was loosening up and finding things to engage with in the modern human world. And at some unspecified point in time she visited Enma-tei, Beni-Enma's inn.

aaah.. my favorite Chaldean couple... I honestly like any event where the two of them show up (Or even just Yu on her own because while she is a bit of a bitch.. she has, warmed up to the master of Chaldea in recent times) Xiang Yu is funny because his ability to predict events allows him to stop issues before they happen.. he just never explains what he is doing or why so you get to picture the giant mechanical horse man running around causing chaos for reasons that only those who are in the know understand (with an Interlude being dedicated to that fact with multiple servants asking the master to find out whats going on and Yu using it as a chance to explain it and help us understand him after we ask her for help) And Yu herself is just great.. Initially she hated us(to the point where she takes more bond points to reach Bond rank 5 then any other servant).. Now she actually tolerates us(If not enjoys her Role as your Senpai.. Using it to manipulate us or ask us to do things for her) but is still a massive spoiled brat, still i find her amusing.. also interesting is that ya.. She is functionally Immortal.. what can kill her is probably countable on 1 hand and her becoming a servant is because she decided to

ReDrop's lewd as hell art strikes again with "Spare the Idle Talk". Yu Mei-ren basically cares little for human ideas of modesty in her clothing (hence her tendency towards very revealing outfits), but she still wouldn't want people other than Xiang Yu ogling her. Summer Yu's Valentine's scene involves her insisting that the proper way to eat them is to just put the entire thing into your mouth whole. Summer Yu's attitude as her bond levels increase shifts from 'anyone who is not Xiang Yu must die if they see my dance, or at absolute least they must lose their eyes as punishment' to 'maybe I'll forgive it if Ritsuka sees the dance... at a great distance... and only if I feel like forgiving it'. And then the Bond 10 line that's only in FGO Arcade has her eventually be willing to put on a one-time dance performance for Ritsuka... but she's not going to do it *now*. Lostbelt Xiang Yu didn't meet the Yu Mei-ren of the Lostbelt timeline, but when our world's "Hinako" meets with him, she at one point asks Xiang Yu to run a "what if" simulation of all the circumstances that lead to the choices that Proper Human History's Xiang Yu made... and as a result, the Lostbelt Xiang Yu effectively lived the life of PHH Xiang Yu, and so also fell in love with Yu Mei-ren. The association with poppies in the animation and lines of Anti-Fling Rondo is, IIRC, because "Yu the Beauty" apparently became a term for field poppies in China. Koyanskaya tends to refer to Yu Mei-ren as "Yuie", as in "Yu"-ie. It's a localization substitution for "Gucchan", which is a nickname based on how "Yu Mei-ren" would be translated into "Gu Bijin" in Japanese. Yu Mei-ren's trick to keep Qin Shi Huang from knowing about the Lostbelt conflict? She actually did tell him things about it... but also hid any available evidence that the Emperor could find within the Lostbelt, tricking him into thinking her truthful statements were falsehoods.

56:34 To add, since Arcade has yet to start the Lostbelts even by today, let alone LB3, she (and other LB servants like Skadi) just show up for no reason. Also, since Yu became a Servant through the events of FGO mobile, she knows about the mobile timeline in Arcade.

Nezha, in the myths, was ressurected with sacred lotus root and lotus seeds after his suicide so Fate saw fit to make him robot-like (even though he's more of an homunculus with an existing soul). Qin Shi Huang's burning of the books is, 'til this day, still debated. During the Warring States period, nations waged war for generations and many intellectuals and their schools of thought debated over supremacy and jobs (from war lords as advisors). Qin Shi Huang was a champion of rule of law (this makes sense now, but back then it was still up for debate), other schools of thought included daoist ruling (going with the flow), supreme ruler (king can do everything, prevalent), etc. Rule of law, even back then as a school, proclaimed even royalty had to follow laws. This was HUGELY unpopular, and when it was implemented a few generations before Qin Shi Huang, the guy responsible was pushed to death. It took a tremendous effort and several generations for it to take hold in Qin, and Qin Shi Huang would obviously champion it. It's speculated that the burning of books is merely a ban on certain/all other schools of thought, or anti-Qin propaganda because beating everyone else makes you fairly unpopular. "Xian" is a Chinese term for an immortal state of being that people can attain through Daoist training. I know in this case (Fate) xian is different but Yu is just closer to pure elementals. The Yu as Sailor Moon picture was an online trend that started because somebody drew the original in that position, then a bunch of artists started drawing other characters in that pose in Sailor Moon cosplay. Because this is the internet, the trend also developed a more "sexy" undertone... Yeah, ReDrop (the artist that drew the really sexy picture) is famous for drawing some of the most legendary pictures of FGO. He/she is the one responsible for the legendary Nightingale Halloween outfit and the classic Mash Dangerous Beast that became staples in the franchise.

I find it really interesting that yu well how she grows in the events after the lostbelts she starts off kinda upset but with time she slowly mellows out thanks to xiang yu’s “tactical retreats” and him giving us time to bond with her, and the most funny part is, in her lancer form she says she only dances for her beloved in this case xiang yu and if u dared to try to see she would kill u...... problem is feelings of caring for someone else might be developing in that heart cause, in her bond 5 she goes: i don’t mind if u see it but don’t get caught or I will kill ya. Which is its even more funnier considering the bond 10 in arcade in which she preaty much goes: fine I will dance for u too eventually but not now ok? *totaly not in a tsundere tone*, so yeh she might be developing a little bit of space in her heart for someone other than xiang yu which is quite the development

Smoke, huh? That's gonna be tough. Hassan of Intoxicating Smoke exists, but isn't a fully fleshed out character yet. Lancelot berserker is constantly smoky for his first ascension and Mordred has cigarettes in one of her buffed skills, but I believe you guys said you'll do a KoTR special. Aphrodite has a cigarette in one of her sprites, not really a playable Servant though. Unless this is a dark joke about Jeanne/Jalter... Someone said Tecatlipoca which I feel is very likely, but I wanna say Zhuge Liang, because my man inhales PACKS of cigs with the amount of work he did in Case Files, Adventures, and whenever I bring him out to farm.
