Hey, hey, I just wanted this to be here so everyone can see ◔ ⌣ ◔ Something I knew would upset some of you was the fact that I decided to use the English voices for the video and I'd like to address this issue. Now I originally wanted to make this video with the Japanese voices since it was only natural to have the Japanese voices speaking over the footage. However, I do not speak Japanese apart from very, very basic things (I’d probably starve to death in Japan - level). As a result I couldn’t cut, blend, isolate or rearrange parts of the Japanese audio files (to which I did not have access to) simply because I wouldn’t know where to begin. This was the main reason why I ultimately decided to go with the English voices, which I would like to say are as equally excellent as the Japanese ones in my opinion. It is very clear that each and every voice actress/actor who worked with FromSoftware poured their hearts into this game and it shows in both languages. I sincerely apologize if the English voices ruined the experience for you, but I cannot work with something I do not have a clear understanding of. I hope you can understand my reasoning and look past this compromise to appreciate the video as it is. Thank you.
I prefer the japanese, but actually I think the video is better with english anyway. Reading subtitles can distract from the gorgeous visuals, and this way I get both versions (japanese when I play, english when I watch)
Hey, the souls-borne community would to love to see more of this. Not sure if we praise for a darksouls movie. Even though i love the symbolism and this grander meaning of these games of power and the strain of corruption. (Tolkien philosophy) Hate to sound like I'm praising it as a master piece, but this was great to watch. -The snack covenant sends it's regards.
"Every frame a painting" I don't think i could find a better example of this rule than your work, you have a remarkable talent for this art form. Thank you for bringing these games to life.
It is sad that most people don't even realize how great this game is. The very atmosphere of the game is gripping. A whole new level. Efforts like yours are truly appreciable. Thank you. It caught every single emotion of the Game
It was great seeing this short film .. and i loved dressing Sekiro in black which makes him more badass The way you killed The Owl using the mist prosthetic was PERFECT
Personally, I prefer the Purification ending, but I guess the Return was more poetic. Absolutely adored the video though, I could never imagine spending so much time to get something to look that good, well done indeed!
I've never played Sekiro; I most certainly intend to. With that said, this video is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I started my own channel because for YEARS I have played these wildly stunning video games with deep, impactful story arcs which I couldn't ever really share with anyone who hadn't played the game. Sure, you can watch a video game played but that never ever feeeeeels like what playing the game actually feels like. Something that really pulls you into the world, even if you've never played a second of it. I watch this video at least once a day. I hope you still watch this from time to time and feel proud!
Brilliant edit, love the timing, has the same eerie pace as your dark souls cinematics and I love the color palette, it really sets the tone. Bravo sir.
Every single one of these cinematics you put out are filled to the brim with a level of quality thats hard to find on this platform. I loved the heavy focus on the action side of the game and I'm sure it wasn't easy to capture. All around well done. You do amazing work and deserve heavy praise.
I adore the story of Sekiro. Miyazaki's method of story telling, by design, is often quite difficult to capture cohesively; something which you have accomplished beautifully here. The production quality is excellent, the music sublime and immersive; evoking a well considered emotional response that's concurrent with the setting and scenery. This truly is a fantastic job, it's wonderful to see someone so dedicated giving the game the love and attention it deserves. Keep up The good work!
Shadowrushing Owl while he's not recovering from a move...that takes balls maan! Amazing vid, it put a tear in my eye, especially since going through this game 4 times in a row! EPIC!
It's was sooo clever and subtle the whole video , I liked the most when you used mist raven to get behind owl and then cut to his final deathblow which also starts from behind , amazing .
Mannnnn sekiro is the best game I have ever played. This video sums up everything important that happened without giving everything away. Really well done! I hope the dragons return ending leads into a second Sekiro game!
It's the nobility of heart and devotion to the cause that is portrayed in Japanese storys and characters that inspire me as both a person and a gamer as a whole...
I finished my first playthrough recently, and I've been watching a lot of Sekiro-related videos, and I have to say this so masterfully done. The Fountainhead palace sequences--that dive into the water, and all the scenes leading up to the dragon--were so beautiful! Also, the way you weaved the cinematics with game footage was brilliant and seamless (and the game footage itself was awesome, I have no clue how you can take shots like that). The music was lovely too, and accompanied the scenes perfectly. What a beautiful ode to a beautiful game.
Amazing, the animations in this game are so detailed and this video really shows that off! Some of the dialogue seemed a bit disjointed, but overall, this was awesome! Really liked how you chose to have Genichiro lose in the intro, and very well execution on the other fights as well!
I found your channel because of the Dark Souls 1 Fate video- I found your channel again a few months ago around the time Sekiro came out. I’ve been waiting until I beat the game to watch this. I have to say that it was absolutely worth the wait. Don’t stop what you’re doing, man. Your work is amazing.
this is one of the greatest videos i've seen on youtube in a long, long time. it's incredibly well-made, even the choice of music is superb, overall it does justice to one of the best games ever made.
I imagine that it'd more truthful that wolf lose the edge to genichiro at the first encounter; his hand stumbled when pulling out kusabimaru was a subtle hint. Overall, this is a very good job. Thank you.
I love the way you used Owl's own techniques to defeat him in this movie. Shadowfall + Owl's sneaky moves (Mist Raven) are a real hype!!! Salute to you and your hardwork sir! If I were rich enough I would've bought you an orchestra of your own!!!
Besides Vaati and Pruld i think you are amongst the best creators of content when it comes to games from "From Software". You absolutely outdid yourself with the music and the composition my friend. Your hard work is heping me during times of deep fevers and sickness, and just seeing this, is already making me feel better and happier. Thank you for your hard work.
This deserves much more credit than it actually received. I've finished this fantastic game a few months ago, and now I am hyped to complete it once again. Thank you for the wonderful video!
I don't even have words to say how much I loved it. It's so damn beautiful... I'm speechless. 💫 Also, Wolf dressed in black just made him even more attractive. What a gorgeous Shinobi 🐺❤ 10/10 Excellent work!!
A very nostalgic ride. It reminds you of your own journey and captivates you until the end. I don't think that you could have done a better job. This video is a huge tribute to all the players who played the game and also to the developers who made it. A job well done👏👏
Beautiful work. I really enjoyed your use of music, choice of shots, voice over and editing. It was also very elegant the way you made the more grotesque/violent scenes look tasteful and provocative.
Absolutely incredible. I was captivated the entire time and some perfectly executed moments even gave me goosebumps. Thank you so much for creating such amazing art, you're very talented!
Absolutely fantastic, as usual! I was sad there was no awesome shot of a lightning attack/reversal, but I trust that you tried to get it and it just didn't work out for the better. Or maybe I'm blind and missed it. Will definitely be rewatching several times either way!
I usually don't comment on RU-vid videos, but holy cow! What an amazing tribute video to Sekiro. The atmosphere you created, the music, the cuts... it let's you really re-live the whole story of Sekiro. I can't stop watching your video. Kudos to such an incredible piece of art. I hope the creators of Sekiro have seen your video because it captures the essence and feel of the game so greatly. Kind regards from Germany!
I'm slightly sad you didn't use OG costume colour for Wolf, but that really matters so little when the rest is so freaking excellently done. Fine work, sir!
This is too amazing that I just cried after watching it. It's very amazing and you're very talented person. May you grow in your talent. I'm much appreciate your work.
Duuuuuude, i got goosebumps from the first seconds of the video - when i heard Demon Souls "One who Craves" soundtrack (guess you used some kind of rearrenged version, because original one sounds a bit diffirent). I cant even imagine how difficult it must be to film something like this. Thank you!
The fact that you chose to film that particular ending, is enough for me to give it a thumbs up. But the beauty you managed to capture with your technique is sublime, and in less than 30 minutes even! I cannot express with words alone just how much I liked this one. Thank you for making it
I would say you outdone yourself on this video, and (I don't really mind the English voice over). It's common thing that some people wouldn't understand if they don't get the language down right, but all in all this work of video art is Truly Amazing, Respect for your work!!!
I know i'm late to the party but this is like one of the most beautiful cinematic short film of a game i have ever watched. Every short is wallpaper-worthy, you should be more regconized !
