A request to all the players who are new, please don't try this mod if you haven't ended the game. First complete all the gauntlets then try this. I know this gameplay looks cool and flashy but trust me, it's infinitely harder than it looks. It's for your own good so please don't try this
Playinh this on my second playthrough rn. Only completed the divine heir gauntlet. All the others aren't unlocked cuz I accidentally went for the shura ending. This mod isn't that bad
I love the improvements to Lady Butterfly's second phase. Base game the goal is an early boss, she uses the Illusions as a distraction to slow you down. Here? It's more like complete offense and distraction. She uses her Illusions to get the jump on you and change the flow of the fight in her favor. AWESOME improvement.
@@TheSilly6403Most people encounter lady butterfly before even getting to gyobu, and by the exp she drops, you can tell she is meant to be defeated before fighting genichiro (she drops only 1K exp). I think this mechanism would've been too harsh for new players, not to mention many people already complain that lady butterfly is hard enough in early game.
@@muhdbala9528 i just rewatched closely but at 5:36, when he does the followup attack of the loaded spear, he actually dodges the attack at the same time. it's actually insane
@@captaincs8440 I think it's actually the deflect/block animation from Lady Butterfly due to the spear pull that made it look like an attack he dodged at 5:36. It's actually impressive on the game's part to make it look like an attack.
@QuanNguyen-bk4pn It might be specifically made easier for that move, but normally your parry frames get reduced after pressing the button a few times in quick succession, even if you're only doing successful deflections. This is why Genichiro's base game 6 hit combo is quite strict if deflected without the umbrella. If I remember right, for certain fights like the centipede giraffe you actually get an effect applied that makes consecutive deflections all have the same timing window.
@@arturlourenco7791You can use the umbrella which has more lenient deflection timings (and you’ll be able to use projected force if you have it). You can throw out firecrackers and interrupt the entire combo. You can run away to the other side of the arena (only on regular Genichiro… this does not work on Inner Genichiro who will fuck you up for trying this). Since the umbrella only costs one spirit emblem and the firecrackers costs two, I vote for the umbrella. You also stay in front of him and keep the pressure on, which running away won’t do obviously. Even if you don’t have projected for or whatever the follow up attack with the umbrella is you’re still better off using it.
Man, Sekiro’s combat system is so peak. Literally the best combat I’ve ever experienced. Also, makes me think they should have had one of the Senpou two blade monks as a mini-boss early on or something, similar to Taurus Demon to show how far you’ve come
Sekiro fans:- waiting for sekiro 2 Hollow knight fans:- waiting for HK Sliksong Btw ongbal, id like to see you destroying hollow knight bosses especially pantheon 5 . It's a request brotha
@@Perfect4562 try Lies of P I guess. It has sekiro blocking. But yeah, I understand that it isn't a good substitute. At least we, ds3 fans, have archthrones mod and it's great.
The thing that I appreciate the most about this mod is that it manages to keep the deflection dynamic between both Sekiro and the boss from the base game, whereas many others just turn the fight into long deflection sequences for the player with occasional openings for attacks. As a result, Resurrection keeps the feeling of a duel or conversation, as opposed to an endurance test.
Although it certainly is long, what I meant was that the boss is still forced to deflect and dodge the player’s attacks, instead of ignoring you and starting another attack string. This means that in terms of moveset, the fight is pretty even and allows you some room for aggression
In Elden Ring terms, this is somewhat similar to Malenia (she has some hyperarmour, but still staggers and sometimes even blocks your attacks), whereas other mods resemble Godfrey, Radagon and Radahn more
@@dannyfio1516I don’t think Ongbal has enough attack power for that boss. It’s Ongbal so it doesn’t matter but that might be why it’s slowed down. He even picked up a charm from him that increases attack power
just an additional information for those who interested in Resurrection mod, shinobi hunter and juzou the drunkard also get changes with new movesets. and they are hell of units now
Beautiful fights Ongbal. You were very aggressive against Butterfly, I did not realise you could be that aggressive against phase 2 - awesome to watch. There is also a new snap seed mechanic you might like which allows you to damage her healthbar with a chasing slice follow up.
I have a goal in sekiro. I want to complete the game with complications without rebirths as well as you do. Every time I die, however, your videos inspire me to try to achieve my goal. You're cool!!!
Awesome video. How do you swap to the other combat arts mid-combat without the menus? Edit: I was really stunned by the display at 3:07 and had to check the modpage for what all those shiny new moves were :D
Man, there are a lot of satisfying videos on your channel, but a good *_Sekiro_* showcase still always has its own distinct feel so glad that the mod got some cool updates!
So glad the crimson fang doesn't fall off the goddamn bridge anymore and force you to reload the fight. That was the most frustrating thing I think I've ever dealt with ever.
Ongbal I know I don’t keep up with you as much as I should with what version and Sekiro you’re playing and the mods lol. I just get enamored with you treating these guys like they’re the players 🤣 My questions is pretty simple and I could probably get the answer elsewhere but what was is Sekiro: Resurrection? Anyone can answer and sorry for my ignorance. Also love your stuff and you’re legend bc I see your name all over the place. Seeing your name elsewhere is how I found you. Instant sub a year ago from the from video I watched
I see a lot sekiro video on youtube and tiktok, they all amazing with parry.but ongbal is the only one who can parry and be aggresive with the combo. Like when the boss still doing combo, ongbal not only deflecting it, he interrupt or sneaking 1 or 2 slash in there. Its crazzy
