I started refusing to end fights through posture deathblows. It's AI, but it feels like such BM to blow through posture over and over, and just stay your hand from the deathblow until eventually they literally collapse from health depletion. Get fucked

I think people have a bit of a misunderstanding of stealth in this game. There's very few characters that you need to approach slowly or "quietly", shinobi and bosses can be a bit more attentive but not most others, and even after someone turns to face you theres about a half second where backstab still applies, so you can literally sprint up to people and they wont detect you until you're right behind them. Speed is your stealth in Sekiro, as long as you're not standing directly infront of someone, they won't see you. The upper castle floors for example has an Ashina elite that crosses the bridge in the upper room, you can basically jump past him and wall jump over the bridge railing to land beside ir slightly behind him and he wont notice you. Also jumping is silent, so if you run up to someone you can jump the remaining couple of meters, land directly behind them and they wont detect you at all.

It's from the new boss rush mode, you should give it a try.

Genichiro cannot lightning reversal Sakura Dance. Its not that his a.i. decided not to, Inner Geni literally cannot reverse that. Neither can Inner Isshin.

@@hadenanderson9968 actualy Genichiro only can't reflect the Sakura Dance if he gets hit by the first two non lightning strikes of the Dance, because they stun him. If you're not close enough he can reflect the Dance as well.

It's a Shinobi skill tho if the enemy's posture is broken you can backflip to them for a back stab.

A shinobi knows the difference between honor and victory.

It does make alotta this less impressive, considering it's basically just stun locks. Some of the combos in this were really cool, specifically chained ogre with the transitions between three prosthetics and all But most of the rest is just, L2+R2---R1. Repeat until dead. Its pretty amusing all things considered

@@ethandonnelly1973 I don't know specifically about Sakura Dance, but Ongbal generally makes things look much easier than they actually are. I always get pumped up after watching him and then get my ass beat.

Funnily enough technically this is sekiros original move. He imagined genichiro stronger than he was, and this is the move his "inner" genichiro used. A shinobi wolf original

@@curtisnewsom6168 No, its not. It says in the sakura dance's description that it was "A secret art of the Way of Tomoe, which she performed in her master's honor". Sekiro did not invent this move, nor did he imagine Genichiro to be stronger than he was. Genichiro's consciousness lived on inside Sekiro and grew stronger.

@@SuperHongTay My point is that there's a lot of variety with this art. Like umbrella to block projectiles > follow through > shuriken > chasing slice > Sakura Dance > axe > follow through. Took out half of Genichiro's posture that way, lol. But shuriken's chasing slice is quite a bit more reliable than spiral spear, tbh. Enemies often perfect-deflect the spiral spear and counterattack through it, at least that's my experience.

Mortal draw does chip damage to bosses which is nice.

Really? Spamming the same skill + ability together looked kinda boring to me. Every action needs to be unique to be cinematic, repeat cycles are boring.

One Mind spam intensifies

I know PvP worked very well for Dark Souls, but in Sekiro's case, it would be awful. The mechanics don't match up well with PVP, and the PVP mod is proof of that.

@pretty boy You can deathblow right away after using the first strike though. The way I use One Mind is that I do the first strike, then I immediately cancel the animation lock with a dodge then I do another one. If enemy is posture broken I end up getting an easy deathblow right there.

I wish there was even just a sort of asynchronous method of co-op/PvP where you could send out clones equipped with your current loadout, and have them either assist or fight other players as computers. If they're successful in their mission, you automatically acquire sen and decent loot. Actual PvP would be kind of ridiculous, lol.
