After I had SLT done on my left eye, the IOP rose to 50 overnight. A Trabeculectomy was scheduled soon after by another eye doctor. End result - I've lost most of the vision in my left eye - 20/70. Lesson: always get a second or third opinion and always ask about the experience of the eye surgeon.
Hi I had a detachment then it detached again the I had a poorly fitted buckle removed I had cistoid macula edema cataract lens replacement laser for a second cataract then was diagnosed with glaucoma in both eyes and somehow I lost my cental vision after cataract surgery. But worse that all of this I was diagnosed with GAD and adjustment disorder relating to the eye. I live with constant suicidal thoughts and need to go back on antidepressant but they tend to interact with glaucoma and raise pressure(tried and tested this is what happened to me) tomorrow I have consultation for SLT laser but I would love a second opinion before I have my first opinion. Would laser possibly be what I need to get back on antidepressants. I have been on off antidepressant for 30 years but the assessment system only changed in 2018 hence 30 years to get diagnosed with GAD. Life is livable on antidepressants my brain just doesn't product the adequate amount this is a family issue several of us have mental health issues. The NHS surgeon offered to do full glaucoma surgery then retired then covid and I want a more gentle solution even if it is temporary.
