Grew up right around the corner from her house in Corpus. She was everything you see and more in person the day she passed still feels like yesterday for all of us from Corpus Christi Texas. She was truly beautiful inside and out and had a spirit bigger than Life.she laughed with her whole heart genuinely and her smile could heal anything. She was absolutely amazing and way ahead of her time. I love you and miss you, Selena always and forever.❤❤❤❤❤
She was raised as one of Jehovah's witnesses which is why she doesn't celebrate the festive seasons my family doesn't celebrate it either because we serve Jehovah by the way that's God's name and he will definitely resurrect and bring Selena back to life on a cleansed Paradise Earth where death and evil will be gone a world where people can live happy and peace with their family
They had a song together. They were recording it was gonna be amazing it was gonna be for her next English album since she wasn't able to put it on the first because they taught it would be seen as a r& b song and not pop . Her father was the devil. And I can't wait til it's found out what he truly did. Selena was 4 mos pregnant and didn't get the chance to tell Chris yet so sad.

Chris talks about it in his book. He said,She was so shocked and kept asking, "All of this is for me". She just couldn't believe it. It's so much sweeter reading it in Chris's book.
It's one of the saddest but also most beautiful displays of love that I've seen. I'm not sure if he still lives there but when I was in my twenties of course you'd go out to house parties and stuff in San Antonio. Occasionally you would run into Chris (Selena's widowed husband). He would sit by himself with his guitar and a beer obviously still mourning. I say obviously because as beautiful as the music was. it was so sad at the same time. I must have been maybe five at the most when Selena died. This man loves her so much I could feel it in his music more than twenty years later. As sad as that must be I can only imagine how special she was to him to where he still loves her. I'm sure even to this day.
Oh okay she was a Witness I grew up one that's something else ♥️I consider myself blessed to have went to her last concert here in Houston Texas no picture or video can describe her true beauty. I never knew about her until my girl friends took me to her concert at rodeo years ago , only for her to be killed her a couple of months after . I will never forget her as long as I live . What joyous reunion when Selena and her family reunite in Paradise 🌺
My grandmother saw her grow up as a teenager in Corpus, she worked for a Latino family and when she was already famous she took my mom to her concerts and they say she was more beautiful in person than in photos, videos, TV and magazines.

I was devastated when her death hit channel 13 ABC news here in Houston. Some things in life have no explanation it's senseless and the more you think about it the more senseless becomes. In that moment God chose to take his daughter home no questions asked only He knows . Her loved ones will see her again. I plan to visit Corpus , I'm in South West Houston so I'm not far it's been my dream to visit and lay some flowers at her statue out of admiration and respect. I'm going to plan that out this year ⚘️
Believe it or not her religious beliefs explain a lot of why she was such a genuinely good person and had a close family. I never knew that about her thank u for sharing.
Though I don’t believe jehovas witness doctrine is correct, I do believe you are right. And I can say the people I’ve known who are JW have been very kind individuals.

My nana raised me In the same religion as Salinas family. So I could only imagine how she felt getting all those gifts. Im no longer apart of the religion no more eventho I do live by some morals I learned from them n believe in some of the things they preach. But the whole holidays things n no birthdays shit come on nobody really celebrate holidays cuz of there meaning now a days holidays are here for us to create happy memories with our kids
You don't need a date on the calendar to have gifts, parties, and make memories with family and friends. I was raised JW and I had a very happy childhood I later became one when I was older and I could make a conscious decicuon to dedicate my life to Jehovah. I now have children of my own and they love Jehovah too we have many activities and I throw parties just not on holidays and birthdays. We often have parties in pur congregation were we dance and have fun with our friends. JW's are very joyful people. Kind regards. ❤

I grew up as a witness. I don't feel like I missed out on anything. We always had our parents love and understanding throughout the year not just on the holidays. We always had get togethers with brothers and sisters from our congregation where we danced, ate, laughed and had a grand old time. The reason we don't celebrate it is because of the origin of the celebration. We chose not to celebrate but don't judge anyone for doing so. I'm 51 now, still a witness and wouldn't have it any other way. 😊❤
I hate how their love story was cut so short..I'm happy he went on and had a family with his second wife but I still wonder what could've been with Selena..RIP beautiful Angel 🕊️🤍
They divorced in 2008. I think Chris should've allowed himself more time to grieve. A friend of his introduced him to his second wife in 1997 or 98. I think he was trying to help in and he thought it was a good idea to push him into another relationship. But we all heal at different rates. In his book, "To Selena With Love," Chris says that looking back, he doesn't believe he gave himself enough time to grieve/heal.
Remember an episode of Johnny Canales Show I wanna say it was 1989 and Johnny wished them a Merry Christmas since the show was a few days before Noche Buena (Dec 24) and Selena you can see she was iffy about Christmas.
@@anythingforselenas_ I always wonder if he knew or simply Johnny was expecting every Latino to be Catholic or some kind of Christian like baptist or some of that line and not JW. Idk but it was kinda awk even for 1989 but still good show alot of her Tejano music prior to going Tex-Mex and Grupero was great!
