I love how her Texan accent breaks through sometimes in her songs like in the bridge. So adorable. This is such a beautiful song, you can't help to get a little emotional with the addition of the video being clips of her instead of an new video because she was taken from us. Aaliyah had a very similar situation for her song Miss You that came out a year after she passed.

The only thing I didn’t like about the Selena movie was the fact that they skipped the ‘80s(1984-1988) and went straight to 1989. I hope the Netflix series includes her 80’s music before signing with EMI Latin in 1989. They also skipped Late ‘89 self-titled debut/Ven Conmigo era (1990-1991) in the movie as well.
They probably will go into the 80's with more detail for the Netflix series. Especially since watching the short teaser for the series, it's considered as "Part 1." We'll see what happens.

If you love Selena, you should check out one of her earlier tracks called “Enamorada De Ti”. I don’t hear people talk about this song enough which is crazy because it’s so good! Along with “Donde Quiera Que Estés” ft. Barrio Boyzz. It has a strong R&B sound I think you’ll appreciate. Maybe also check out some Prince, as well. He was simply a genius. I recommend “When Doves Cry”, “Little Red Corvette” (the 5min version), and “Purple Rain” for starters!
Besides her natural beauty, charisma, smile, talent in dancing, and vocals her best attribute was her humility and the love she had for her fans. She broke barriers for future Latin artists that have done crossovers. She will always be loved.

I'll admit there are times I've gotten obsessed with finding out about Selena, I lived in Lake Jackson, and worked at a Chicken place that was right in front of the mall. I've always wondered if her family even though they owned a restaurant there, I wondered if I ever saw them, she would have been a little girl then. I absolutely love her, and never tire of her music, La' Reigna.

you should react to “oh no (i’ll never fall in love again)” by her too, she was supposed to record it on march 31st, 1995 for the english album but we all know what happened that day instead. fans found out the song existed because there’s another version in spanish without selena by the kumbia kings (her brothers group). fans were asking over and over again if they had any recordings of her singing it and they ended up finding a recording from a rehearsal that they cleaned up and released.
This video was released after her passing which is why you see footage from some of her other videos, such a beautiful song and voice, i believe she would be as legendary if not more if she was still alive. You should totally react to "Amor Prohibido", she has many good songs, but that one is special, definitely my favorite, and maybe "Donde quiera que estés", i think you'd have fun with that one :)

This is so sad she died on March 31 1995 and then 24 years later nipsy hustle died the exact date in 2019 now here it is it's been 25 year later for Selena and one year for nipsy hustle may they both rest in peace.

Fun fact: Producers from L.A, I believe from NY too, flew into Nashville, Tennessee where this hit was recorded, recorded in one take! I can’t help but think, man they got to see a performance of a LIFETIME, as this was possibly the only time Selena actually fully sang it in front of people, 2 weeks later she would be gone...
