I think that it’s important to understand that Selena wanted Chris Perez in her life and she obviously loved him.. I have never seen any evidence that Chris pushed himself into her family. I have seen multiple interviews with Chris Perez and he really loved her, you can see the hurt in his face. Selena should not have been expected by her family to lead a life as a Nun. We all know Selena's father is not a good person as he wants to be portrayed, he is a really controlling and selfish person, you can tell right away. Chris was young and stupid to let the family Quintanilla erase him from the picture, if I ever meet Chris I would probably slap him and give him a hug after. I was 8 yrs old when she died. I will never forget her ever. She inspired so much happiness and love in me as a person. Im very thankful I was old enough to remember her presence while she was active and will never forget her death and how significant and crazy that actually was. She was and is a true entertainer the true angel. She reached more people than she/ her family realized. Like little ol me living in Middleton Idaho. And at the time only had 2000 people living in it. God bless you Chris and family. May her legacy continue!

My family and I loved Selena so much! I think she was apart of everyone's family! Such a beautiful child! Will always love her and she lives on in all of us. I watch these reaction people listen to her music and they are astounded by her talent and beauty. A star for sure!

In today's f****d up Hollywood/music business/crazy world, one never gets the sense that anyone can be honest, but this man's incredible honesty about his time with his beautiful bride is pretty awesome to watch. I was fortunate enough to have seen Selena [y Los Dinos] several times over a span of a few years, but one of the earliest was in my college years in Dallas circa 1990. There were about 30 people in the club, and after their first set the band came over to the bar and Selena sat on the stool next to me in her cow-print outfit. My friend and I talked to her for a few brief minutes while she sipped from her water glass. Her laugh was infectious; a gregarious spirit. Something very precious was taken from us in 1995. That horrible day I had come home from work and learned of what had happened watching the news. I cried alone on the floor.

Imagine losing the one person that you loved 25 years ago to a traumatic misfortune, then having to relive it over and over again for 25 years because the media doesn't allow it to rest. Not to mention being disliked and mistreated by the family of the person who you lost. Then, having to create a new life, a whole new life, with a different person, under different circumstances, and still find the strength to show face to the public and endure. I cannot imagine it. Yes, he has the choice to decline interviews and what not, but then what? So that us the public arena can then throw stones at him for trying to disappear? I feel for the guy.... I mean listen, Selena was a light. Selena was brilliant, but for the sake of giving him peace and giving her peace as well, let the woman rest. That cash cow of a family she has who's been exploiting her since the get-go have gotten enough publicity from what happened to her poor soul to last them a lifetime. It's just...enough already.
