SAD FACT: Laura Canalés, the one who was presenting the award with Selena, Passed away in 2005 on Selena’s birthday, April 16th & Emilio, the one who won the award, Passed away in 2016 on May 16th, exactly one month after Selena’s Birthday RIP to all three of these legends

She's my favorite singer of all time and she barely was getting started. I just discovered all her Mexican language hits and love them even thought I don't understand the words. The two English songs I Could Fall in Love and Dreaming of you was just a taste of what was to come. She gravitates to these emotional love songs as I do and she sings them from the heart with so much emotion. The world lost an incredible human being that fateful day.

It’s incredible to see and hear how much vocal talent, stage presence and confidence Selena had at age 19! She’d been singing for many years but still…at 19 she had it all going on in spades, including great beauty and charisma. 🌹🌹
