I burned four caches for it. I got Selene first cache but I kept going. Two left over for next week. Worth. Lol. Been having way too much fun with black Knight on general since his release and having that rad variant was worth the resources for a card I'll play lots of for the foreseeable future.
I actually broke my iPad throwing it against the wall cause I lost like 15 games in a row. Was time to quit after that. Enjoying watching Regis still tho.
Game's felt so bad this last couple weeks to me. Feels like no matter what deck I play, I open the app, queue one game, and get hard countered by my opponent or low roll the locations. I can't tell if I'm just that far out of touch with the meta, but I can barely stomach the game rn. And I'm p bored of junk, and most other decks now, too :\ I was playing a void/viper list before anihilus, and that was fun. It was cool when he came out, but now it's just been p much a staple since then. Blob was kinda interesting, but I feel like games just boiled down to: a) do I draw blob + ramp b) does my opponent run Shang chi / shadow king I was running a surfer hand/deck buffing list with bast, and wolfsbane, and dazzler (and obviously brood n patriot/mystique), and that list was so cool. But then Shaw came out, and those decks were everywhere. And in my opinion they played less interestingly, but performed better. That's what most new cards seem to do. They're either useless, or make a deck better but simpler, idk Tl:Dr is that i just wish they would expand their design space rather than expound upon it. Give me new synergy with a card that actually needs it for once
I'm still so confused about him not playing sentry left instead of demon. Sentry has more power? And... Rickety Bridge would kill the void and anything the opponent puts right? Then you still have 10 power in left and shang the middle. You can do this on turn six because both four costs are now 3 because of Elysium. Like am I missing something?
Love the videos Regis! I know it may not be a full video but I'd suggest doing a video/clip of running an Agatha deck with the current featured location 😂
I hate how Destruction can just shrug off Negative numbers. First map I played on was Cloning Lab. Turn 1 put down Forge, So did he Turn 2 then played Scorpion (everything in his hand -1). He put down Bucky on cloning at 2. Turn 3: Nova Bucky middle. I put a Goblin on cloning. Turn 4 I put down Hazmat on Cloning, another 2/4 Scorpion Middle. -1 on the field, -2 potentionally on cards in his hand. He puts Wolverine on Cloning at 1 power. Turn 5: I put down the second goblin middle and the second Hazmat. His side now looks like: Right: Forge -1, Bucky 0, Wolverine 0, Goblin -4 Middle: Bucky 0, Goblin -4, Nova -2 He plays Carnage. His middle spot ends up at 20.
@9:25 ish right? Why not play Sentry hard left instead of demon? And Shang-Chi middle? The Sentry makes a void that contests right but you still end up with 10 power left? Am... Am I being a goober?
8:19 Why are you not just playing Sentry left and Shang-chi mid? Lol this drove me so crazy I had to comment... I was screaming lol "Regis!!! Sentry" both cost 3 and the void will destroy whatever card they put on the bridge... Even if they happen to play armor on the bridge, you mid mid with Shang and Sentry easily wins left
Of course you still won and a win is a win regardless...but it just frustrated me that you kept thinking 😂😂😂 In your position I just Sentry Shang, call it a day
Hi Regis, I love your content thank you for the work you put in. As I am trying to get better with the game can you tell me in the first game of this video why you played the demon left on the final turn over the Sentry? Would the Void have been recognized by Rickety Bridge and helped to destroy all cards there? I appreciate your thoughts and guidance, thanks again.
Assuming the location stays the same, Sentry is better, but there's always a risk they transform the location out of Rickety Bridge (Storm, Legion, etc.), and then you're left with -10 that's an auto lose there. Since we know the Demon is big enough to win that location anyway, it's just a tad bit safer, I think.
So you didn't have "free wins" and think if you could pull this off with cards in your hand and current boardstate. It's a mechanic to make you think more, not less.
Should people start playing Annihilus even outside junk just to counter these kinds of deck? It's a hit to consistency but he seems stronger play than most 6 cost plays in the right situation and sometimes a 5/7 with an additional 1 cost is enough to swing a game in your favor. The only negative is that the game would devolve into who can make the best Annihilus play which is bad
The issue with this is you are running 1 dead card to have a silver bullet against junk. Most decks don’t send you trash. And even against junk, I am not fully convinced it give you that high of a win rate as you have to avoid their annililus. Tech cards are best when they either counter a lot of decks or complement your game plan in some way. Shaun chi is a good tech card because it hits a large number of cards. Cosmo is a good tech card as there are lots of good reveal cards out there and you can use them to stop cards like Shaun chi. Annihilus as a tech card only really stops junk. And -1 draw is a step cost to stop 1 style of deck.
Well you can do this? But better~ Run Cosmo and take initiative, turn 5 drop Cosmo and cut off their annihilus. Your Cosmo is a 3 cost that's more common to see and shuts off annihilus with good prediction... But! We can do more! You know what deck beats junk? Destroy. Literally play destroy if you're worried. They send you trash? Eat it. Carnage and Lady Deathstrike and since the WHOLE DECK is themed that way you're not having to find the out for one specific deck because you'd be destroying your stuff anyway, but now you counter it. Tl;Dr: If your worried about it use Cosmo and lock the annihilus turn 5 or play a deck revolved around destroying your own cards that way you accomplish your deck's goal at all times, but now you deck's objective can stop the new best deck. Just don't run Cosmo in your destroy deck
Went from 600s to 1000 in leaderboard against this deck. I think I will wait untill this junk meta is over. I don't care about rank in infinite as long as I have fun but playing against this is really not fun.
I feel junk is like one of those deck people love the idea of but once it starts being a big part of the meta, it’s annoying. I also think how the mirror plays out, it makes the deck even more annoying as you are basically just trying to annihilate last to just win which is not very interesting.
I don't understand why people don't like making math to lose priority in mirrors. It's fun! Also you can do it a different way. You can decide early on that you won't annihilus at all and try to put as much power as possible and just fill the lanes which are vurnable to negative cards (espesially right lane). That way your opponent, avoiding putting power on board can lose because he didn't have enough power and none of negative cards actually switch sides.
Yeah carnage and viper could be slotted in. I was running a sentry deck with those two before annihilus came out, but i think its not really worth it now. Annihilus basically is the archetype card for this kind of deck now and you really missing a key component without it.
@@samuelhunter4631 true. I am so not looking forward to those mirror matches. Its gonna be some rough days in snap. Meta is going to be only junk and destroy …
If you want to win, probably not. Annihilus is almost the main reason to play junk as it’s just the best at its job. For fun, I made shitty mr negative deck without a few key cards. Not as fun as full collection but you still get some pop off turns. I’m sure junk but similar. If you are ok to run more suboptimal turns and not get the big “throw shit their way”, it can be fun I imagine. But again, if you mostly care about winning, it’s a hard no.
Thanks to Selene, I easily managed to get the last few ranks to hit infinite. I was struggling these past few days, but the people on my ladder were not entirely ready to combat junk decks.
Selene seems pretty fun and strong but nowhere near blob level . Blob made all the high power output cards in the game redundant even Knull which is disgusting. Honeslty he feels like a season pass card at his point.
you can mess around with decklist and add more cards which benefit zabu. I run both of them (zabu and ravonna) and ms marvel/chi/sentry. Or switch to non-goblin version of junk where ravonna is not needed.
I think that kind of kills the card a bit, it start really only being good with hood as 3 cost is unlikely to be lowers and 5 is very. Also the cards you want to hit are usually bigger affects cards, and lower cost would hit them less. Because the affect is symmetrical, you need to break that and the goblins are basically the way to do that. Removing that feels like it makes the card not work imho
This deck I would agree, however the one I am playing I typically have priority and just drop galactus in their full lane that ate a goblin or two and go about my merry day, to only be plagued by thoughts of the cards they could never resolve.
