It's shirk in Islam to consider that you are Allah or Allah is within you and you just need to seek Divine Allah within yourself. Better avoid listening such lectures which may corrupt your mind.

There is no reference to any God or religion. It's a pure truth like science which is irrespective of place and time and true all the time. This is the beauty of Veda. The great sage Ramkrishna paramhans is the guru at Ramkrishna Math and the young, very clever ,learned men and women join there leaving their worldly life and take sanyas. Quantum physics which science and atheism will understand, refers to the double slit experiment which concludes that there is a difference between the observer and the observed.. Vedanta says the same... What ever you can observe in your self, your body , thought, emotions are all observed... The only thing that can distance itself from all of this is the observer... (Exactly like quantum physics postulates ) and that observer , who can see me getting angry, upset, happy etc and not be moved by any of them is atman... Do I experience that ?? That's the ultimate realisation

Thank you! It's great to hear several different explanations of what Atman is and how to "peel back the onion" I am on a spiritual, path but am currently holding myself back. I sometimes see things with tremendous clarity, but I don't like what I see... I see the state of this physical world and the politics of the wealthy that control this world. I see that I lied to, and cheated by my employers and others because I am an artist. I am bogged down with the tedium of the modern world... I spend hours on the phone (talking to robots), or the internet, trying to solve seemingly simple problems, but I end up failing. The modern world seems horribly broken to me. I have even toyed with the idea of becoming a monk ;} - Do monks have to do personal income tax returns? Do they need to spend hours on the phone trying to make the technology work so their wives and families can watch TV? ;} sigh... I could easily do without TV and even the internet, but I love creating music and visual art, and this means I need to be a part of this commercial world that seems increasing shallow and empty to me. I am in bliss with the joy of creating and the joy of learning and discovering when I engage, but these things don't pay the bills and the amount of time and mental drudgery involved with running a business in order to get paid, just doesn't seem worth it anymore...
Oh my god, it this what enlightenment looks like? Such sweetness and clarity in her words that we can feel it in video itself. Although to blindly follow someone is also stupid but this is so confusing. We've thinkers like krishnamurti who said not to follow any methods and then people like sadhguru who teaches another thing. And surprisingly all of them makes so much sense when they are talking. This spiritual thing is very confusing, noclear paths have been described.
It will be very hard to go beyond the tradition. But it’s so true that living wisdom / knowledge / experience is always superior than what’s handed down, when it’s in the highest form. Living in the perspective which you can look down on whatever that is written from high above, what kind of effort do I have to make ? That will be tremendous.

It's the other way around since Upanishads came into being before Buddha. But the path makes no difference if the destination is the same. Good luck to you on your journey.

It is a very good explanation with clarity and confidence. I (?) listen it again and again . Same thing I(?) find in scriptures and Vivekananda's books. May be because of the lack of meditation I (?) have never found the answer except the same entanglement as before. Actually what is that "That experiences the bliss or claims this body as "I". Every explanations pass without answering or giving some analogy forcing us to understand their explanation to get the answer and never convince that they really know what they are trying to clarify until our thoughts and understandings get numbed so that we as body ,mind and thoughts completely paralyzed and accept what vedas, upanishads, explanation of spiritual people say. If that " I" part is beyond body, mind, and memory how these bodily people are telling for thousands of years and claim the exlanation in scriptures lead us to the truth. All what we experience is unreal but beyond that is the truth and real. I (?)am always in confusion . I(?) began to think about it through Gita since I (?) was a child of just about 10 years old (sixth grade at that time) continuously trying to feel or know for nearly plus four decades through many more scriptures, lectures and my own query and thought and through science ( Physics and mathematics my field of study for my life) still unable to know or get any clue about to get my own introduction "I". I (?)do not disbelief anyone knew (knows) that their "I" part but honestly telling I (?) am failing all the time. Wherever or whenever I(?) get chance for its explanation either through books, speeches, happening near and nearby my surroundings, reality and within my logics and imagination or any activities, I (?) stop on it try my best to know if I (?) can, but failed, failed and failed but not yet given up.

If so why is all this effort everywhere through speech, parables, scriptures, analogies, gatherings or discussions needed? All the efforts ultimately try to convince logically, or lead to think deeply until your brain is washed to accept their version as you really understood. Everyone tries to know the secrets and beauty of this creation in his or her own capacity. Why not all these efforts summerize saying you and all outside from you is available for you to know and find your own way that quenches your curiosity. The scripture, the prophets, rishis, religious teachers all are explaining their view and just entangle on and on and on without clarity.
The understanding I get is that the body is a vehicle and I am the driver. The body is like a car, without fuel (prana) it cannot move, without a driver it has no direction or purpose. Thank you for your clarity.

Reaching clarity is progressive. Seeing with clarity is limited by your awareness. I have reached a level of clarity and have been so sure of ....? and then latter realize ... I .... was wrong
