In under 1 month we have started to convert this Self build van into our lovely new tiny home on wheels! This is the start of the conversion in under 21 minutes, enjoy!
WHO ARE WE? 👋
We're The caravan place ltd, a young travel couple and for the last 2 years we've been exploring the uk & Europe with our daughter and her horses in our converted sprinter Van. We upload new videos every Sunday, so make sure to subscribe to never miss out!
We started travelling in our van a few years ago and have since explored France, Spain, Portugal, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Croatia and quite a few more countries.

Thanks for sharing your project, I'm impressed at the planning and skills on display! I can only assume that either dealing in vehicles has provided an understanding on their construction or painstaking research?!

I like what you are doing! Just one thing though, don't you still need a bar behind the rear moulding? The point of that bar is that it prevents passenger vehicles from going too far under the vehicle in the event of a rear-end collision and destroying the passenger compartment of the occupants of the rear vehicle and prevent decapitating them. You will know better than I, but just in case, I would still check with the DVLA or appropriate authority to be on the safe side.

Thanks Andrew, yes it needs a rear crash bar, once the rear bumper is all set it will be built into this, hopefully giving the bumper strength too. 👍

Have you worked out what you think the overall weight will be when its finished. Vehicle's like this dont have a huge payload. The overall weight includes everything including people.

Would it be possible to add which part ie part 1, 2, and so on just so we don't miss anything, we did something very similar to a 71/2 t horse box some years back to transport My brothers motor bike's in the rear and decent living area
