Hi guys, this is an overview video of AHPRA’s online self-check for internationally qualified nurses and midwives and the assessment stages especially when you are a Stream B candidate. Yes correct, they will give the ATT or Authority to Take the NCLEX.

Hi JC and Loraine, thank you for doing this video. It is very informative and helpful especially for us internationally qualified nurses. I have a question in regards to OSCE is there any other way I could take that here in Victoria? I have been living in Melbourne since 2015. And also, does APHRA is very strict regarding the experience you have? What if your experience is not enough or what if your experience has expired after 5 years? However, I graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing and passed my local board examination in the Philippines. I also have been working in an Aged care as a PCA. Do you think APHRA will still consider my qualifications?

Just to share some info about the English Test. Ahpra also accepts PTE Academic. As copied from Ahpra: the PTE Academic with a minimum overall score of 65 and a minimum score of 65 in each of the four communicative skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking). NOTE: We will only accept test results: i. from one test sitting, or ii. a maximum of two test sittings in a six month period only if: • a minimum overall score of 65 is achieved in each sitting, and • you achieve a minimum score of 65 in each of the communicative skills across the two sittings, and • no score in any of the communicative skills is below 58 PTE is easier and test result is released after a few hours. I had just taken PTE last week and passed. Right now, I'm working on my Ahpra application.

Got one question though, I had hospital exp way back 2016-2017 for almost a year in an ICU but currently here in Canada as a health care assistant. Would that be considered under Stream C or even Stream B by any chance if you have any idea?

Thanks po. Very informative po nitong video nyo. But i have some questions po. 1st po is pwede ko po ba gawin 2ng OBA pathway kung nasa AUS po? D ko po kasi alam kung anu uunahin ko, kung ito pong OBA or yung application ng Skilled worker VISA. I recently pass the english exam po. In portfolio stage you download certified copies from ur qualification, passport, ur nursing license in ur home country. I just done it, and they write to be ready that they might ask later for English exam, police check report to approve that you don’t have criminal history, and recent clinical experience. You check their website for detailed information. Good luck

Hi Dezza, yes that is correct. Let her do the online self-check and if she's assigned to Stream B, she has to take the NCLEX and OSCE.

Hi, yes and you can take MCQ (NCLEX) outside of Australia. For OSCE, you have to be in Adelaide, Australia.

Hello, yes po. Pro they won't ask for it before OBA. Pwede niyo po gawin ang OBA kahit wala pang English test.

Hi, IELTS is not required until after you passed the OBA so you can technically go through the assessment stages without your English test results. That is up to you, some people prefer to take the English test first though because they don't want the pressure and hassle of thinking about it after OBA.

Hi, thank you so much for such informative video but I have a question does indian general nursing and midwifery holder can apply for this stage ( and what step one has to be taken for example, enrolled nurse or registered nurse or midwifery nurse)specially ones completed in 2012 and have 4 year experience and now in Australia. Please be advised. Would be much appreciative.

Hello mates, hope to be great and good looking for this informative video. I'm a registered nurse in my home country and wanna be a RN in Australia; I know that I should pass the APHRA process, Portfolio and etc but there is a question, is there any visa for coming to Adelaide city and pass the OSCE exam other than tourist visa? Do nurses recruitment companies issue special invitations or visas to nurses to come Adelaide and take the OSCE exam, as in the UK OBA equivalence process? Thank you in advance for your helping.

Hi JC and Loraine! Does the review for NCLEX-RN included in the program that you mentioned? Does that agency provides support only on nursing aspects or including the visa processing and all? Tnx

Hi, it is only for the nursing aspect - a preparatory course for OBA. It does not include visa processing.

Hlw brother and sister ..during portfolio stage of self check i posted the copy of my passport 3 times as i clicked the plus icon for 3 times which was an unkown mistake...i tried to delete it but i couldnot...😢😢..will it affect my process and does this mistake may cause rejection for referral letter??..
