This is how every home decor channel should be. Even after 1year house looks great. Clearly shows, where are the daily used items stored (which will not he shown in other new house videos).
Hi! I'm wondering if I should buy the neste28 undermount 70cm or inset top mount sink.. why did you opt for the former?:) What would u recommend ! Any scratches or pitfalls after all these while? Is your faucet Nio ? Does it leak or the pull out spray loosened?:) Thank you!! 😊 😊
We got the Zuhne Modena for the sink. We chose it since the drain is offset and the sloping is good so water drains quickly. As with all steel sinks, there will be scratches over time. We polish the sink once in awhile. Faucet is Nio! No leaks and pull-out spray still works fine.
Thanks for your advice!! I like the offset drain too but I don't think it comes in non-steel! Would you mind letting us know where to purchase the bathroom drain cover and the round lid ? I can't find it! I dislike using the tile one cos it is too troublesome. Both of you are super thoughtful and practical in all the nome decisions you make ! Well done!! Thank you! 😊🙏
Thanks for your video, very lovely home! Just wondering how's the cleaning for the master toilet wooden tiles, isit easy to clean? And how's your cement screed kitchen walls so far? Planning to do the same. Thanks in advance!
Hi thanks! No problems cleaning the wooden tiles since they are quite smooth. Kitchen walls also still look good. I don't do any deep frying In the kitchen since we mostly use the oven or air fryer for crispy food.
Wooden tiles are better used on floor, it looks very non wood-like on the wall because of grout lines, just opinion from someone who self-taught 3D interior design and designed my first bto years ago and watched alot of designed homes and hotels from all over the world, gonna design my reno years to come.
Hihi, I really like your Japandi design concept. By the way, how did you install the led lighting under the kitchen cabinet? And where did you buy the chopping board stand? hope can hear from you soon.
Hi thanks! The kitchen cabinets are custom made so there's a channel under the cabinets for the LED lights. The LED lights driver is hidden in the cabinet. The chopping board stand is from Shopee! shope.ee/6AGTpwYvqN
Not really Japandi, more like clean modern home, you will have more luck sticking to AD's definition, "It is the East-meets-West design movement. It blends Japanese artistic elements and wabi-sabi philosophy with Scandinavian comfort and warmth or hygge".
absolutely lovely, the miminalist vib is so clean and the materials work well with the furniture to make the place feel cozy and down to earth. must be a joy living here.
A lot of fengshui master said couple would quarrel more if stove is placed along/opposite with the sink. However, this can be mediated by placing a pot of plant in between. I see you have plenty of space to place one underneath your knife magnet holder, so long as it won't affect the stream of your cooking flow. Just a harmless 2 cents. 😅
Hi Sun, can i have your house plan? your house is my favorite, and i want to build a home next month, but i need some adjustment coz i need 3 bedroom and 1 multi use room
Hi, may I know what's the height of your false ceiling and the brand/model/size of the ceiling fan that you are using? Asking because not sure if the ceiling height is a concern. Thanks so much
Height of the false ceiling is 7cm. Ceiling fan is PO Eco Blizzard. We're not that tall so not really a concern for us. But tall friends visiting need to be more careful 😅
Check out this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rtx2BBHlqpQ.html We changed the colour of the grout to match our tiles more closely.
Hi, thanks for sharing your beautiful japandi home. Your fujioh hood is the FR-MS1990 R model yes? How do you find the suction power? Is it sufficient?
Ya the suction power is not bad but I also open the windows while cooking to improve the ventilation. We don't do heavy cooking like deep frying, usually we boil soup or stirfry.
Really love your down to earth yet beautiful design. Especially love your kitchen wall without tiles remind me of all the homes I've lived in in England they didn't have tiles too. Congrats to your wife and you. Enjoy your life together in your beautiful home❤
what a nice home. and u got it for 60K.. that is way cheaper than mine. Goshh.... MAy i know where you got your: - standing mirror in your room - magnet steel to stick your knives - the spice steek rack - sofa I also notice you use Zuhne products. How is the sink and tap so far?
Standing mirror: IKEA Magnet steel: IKEA Spice steel rack: ecoWARE (I don’t really like it) Sofa: King Living Loving the Zuhne products! I think they are quite well-made and well-designed.
@@LivingwithSun Can I also ask whether you screeded over a tiled wall, or whether it was a bare wall to begin with? If the former, anything to take note of in order to get smooth finish on wall after screeding?
I screeded over a tiled wall. We also screeded over the tiled ceiling beams. For screeding over tiles, you need to remove any PVC tile trimming since these can't be screeded over. You can see which parts were screeded in my reno vlog video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ACA75V52a5w.html
You have clean and well designed Apartment. It looks great, but to be honest I don’t feel Japandi vibe. Other than that it was enjoyable video. Thanks for sharing!
5:22 Hi can I ask - after shifting its direction, does the faucet handle now “hang over” the sink? And if yes, does it affect you use the faucet and sink? Thanks!
It only hangs over a little bit (1cm?). I think it's much easier to use after shifting the faucet handle to face forward since I can turn off the faucet without dripping water on the counter. Also easier to use my left hand to turn off the faucet.
@@LivingwithSun Thanks. Inspired by your video, I got a plumber to switch the position of my faucet handle too over this weekend. I should have done this sooner! 😂
Hi the mirror is from IKEA. My kitchen countertop height is 85cm because I am short so I decided to build it shorter. I know some of our taller friends went with 90cm. I think it's up to you!

Remember to maintain the beauty of your wooden design by using a moisture absorber. It's a simple yet effective way to protect your furniture and keep it looking the best.
Hello, would you share what’s the logic and construction works for you to successfully conceal the aircon trunking / pipes in the toilet, please? Also, any concerns about “future proofing” in case of any issue that needs it to be accessed? 😊
Ours is a resale HDB flat so we didn't really need to worry about the waterproofing warranty being void. For the additional construction, the aircon installers had to drill a hole in the wall for the drainage pipe to go through. The drainage pipe is actually quite easy to access for maintenance since it's on the aircon ledge together with all the other aircon pipes. The only part that will be hard to access is the pipe that's in the wall. But if there are no pipe joints there then it's very unlikely for there to be any problems like leaking. For the process it's like this: hole drilled -> pipe placed -> tiles placed -> pipe cut I also wrote about it here www.lemon8-app.com/livingwithsun/7253627843979100673

Looks amazing! I especially like the kitchen area, how such a big fridge were placed, wooden table and the view lovely. Nowhere near getting my own place and decorative it yet as I am entering 3.0 but current place is very nice place for long term renting with only 1 flatmate with our own bathrooms and both equally invested in making it nice and decor like we own it hahhaa Home feeling is important where one spend a lot of time in, I think you both captured that
May I ask what the model of the water dispenser is? The subtitles say it doesn’t require a water outlet but from my checks on the websites, this is a tankless model so where does the water supply come from?
Sorry for the confusion! It requires a water inlet but not a water outlet. So you will still need a water supply. For some water dispensers, an outlet is so required.
I really like it! The sink has a lot of padding so it's quiet when water splashes on it. Easy to clean as well. I like all the extra accessories that it comes with. I don't have anything bad to say about it haha. As with all stainless steel sinks, there will be scratches on it over time.
Yes of course! For most of our house we use GL-D-004P since it's very short so we can make our false ceiling slightly shorter. The kitchen ones are slightly bigger GL-D-005P.
