I'm so glad my wife and I are 11 years in, I'm her first for everything and we have two beautiful children. Why is every youth these days always going on about "getting that bag". These youths aren't taught that being rich isn't goal; financial freedom is. My advice for anyone chasing money: Wealth is accumulated, it takes time. The best way to secure that in reality - as a working joe - is to stay out of consumer debt. I.e. No car payments, no excessively high phone plan, don't order out food, and stay away from drugs.
@@SRK6IX I think you should try to balance it like 75% home cooked meals, and maybe 25% takeouts (I wouldn't personally advise for it but any improvement is improvement nonetheless.) I don't know your situation, so I will only speak with examples. If you don't cook any meals, try to learn the basics (eggs, pasta, rice) (there's some solid yt videos to guide and help you (it works for me, not saying I'm a chef or anything but I get it done 😉) and try to hit the gym ( if you don't already try to start going once a week for 20-30 minutes, and every week add 10 minutes or so, then once you have a full 40- 50 minutes, add a day (try to go for 3-5 days a week)). The rest of the financial drains are easily avoidable as you said. Good luck on your journey brother.

As an immigrant you have to work hard to make the most of the opportunities granted to you by your family or whoever made it possible to come to a country with greater educational standards. There are fewer resources to get help for men when it comes to abuse and mental health, compared to women. I’m a software engineer. I have lots of girlfriends. They don’t like to code. A few do and I find that pretty hot but the truth is most of the women dropped out of the program. I never saw an ounce of sexism or harassment, they simply didn’t like it. They said that, but the news tries to say there’s all this harrasment. Most engineers are pretty nerdy and don’t even attempt to talk to the girls. The other half are pretty regular dudes who like to build things. I’ve worked with good female engineers, they were very pretty too. They weren’t American though. Russian and Indian and Asian women, foreign born or 1st/2nd generation actually have hard work ethics.

I'm an aerospace engineering apprentice, at college (uk college) I share my class with several other lads and one girl. She is just another member of the class, she wanted to be an engineer and now is, it's not hard. Get the grades you want and just do it, these invisible barriers people create are nonsense it's just personal preference.
So true, civil engineering student here in Mexico and the numbers are getting better for girls but it's still a 75-25% thing in my classes. Go to industrial engineering and you get almost 60-40, but my point is the same as yours. If engineering has a low number of women it is due to personal preference, not a gender thing. My teachers actually encourage girls in our classes and would love to have more girls in the faculty. They just don't want to get in there and it is 100% their choice because they're free to study whatever they want, but choose not to study in those careers. I've known several women who chased high-paying jobs, and had the grades, opportunity, and money for them. They all chose to pursue a lower-paying job, for multiple reasons. Sometimes childcare, mostly stress and long hours.

my friend's daughter is an attractive girl - without input from her father or anyone else, she decided she wanted to be a chemical engineer for a career. She simply signed up for the classes, took them, completed her degree, and now she has a very high paying job - she started off as an engineer, now, several years later, she has moved into project management with all the increases in pay. She simply decided that's what she wanted and she did it.

I just turned 50 and have been working in the building industry as a painter since I was 17. I have only ever met 5 female painters in that whole time and I very much enjoyed working with them. Painting is dirty, tough and laborious and not many women can hack it. I have only met one female electrician which has its own ups and downs. Not a single female plumber and sure as hell no women bricklayers or construction labourers. Women don't want these jobs.
Nursing is a high-paying job and that is dominated by womens. When my wife was having our son and was in and out of the hospital, never once did I think... gee I wish there were more MEN in this floor!

More and more career minded women are dying alone and without children and committing suicided at increasing rates later in life. "empowered" women's depression rate is skyrocketing. All college admissions, scholarships, grants, recruiting, etc is targeted at women. To get into any high paying career field all they have to do is raise their hand and everyone jumps at trying to help them succeed, because "diversity" in the workplace is trending rather than merit.
I think this problem with so many women wanting to be treated like queens starts as a child. When their mommas, grandmas, everyone calling them “princesses”. My mom told me she never called me princess when I was little so I wouldn’t grown up thinking I was entitled to everything. Instead she called me “love, honey”. I'm a woman and I think it's good if you're not settling for anyone, but that doesn't mean that you deserve someone. If you can't find someone that meets your standards, then you better be happy with being single. And you also can't be mad at a man rejecting you, because a man can also have standards. You don't automatically make a house a home, just because you're a woman. That's not how that works. Also agree that we don't necesarilly have it harder. I'm all for feminism, as long as it's about equality. Like, men can cry too. Men can get abused or raped too. Women can be engineers too. Women can fix cars too. Etc. etc. I think most of the time it's focused about having women be equal to men, but it should also be the other way around. In the past women had a lot less rights. They had to stay home and cook and clean and make babies and raise them and they weren't allowed to have their own dreams and get their own careers. But nowadays we can do all of that and that's amazing. There are still things that aren't equal, but that's for both men and women.
