Nice build.Try adding a mud flap to the bottom of the bucket.Apiece of rubber like tire tube would do.The idea is to to stop the rooster tail in the center of the sluice going over your first couple riffles.Spread the water out more.If it does not work toss it.I find it works very well in my highbanker when I am giving it more water,Also gets rid bubbles.Just a thought.Luck Mcbain.
i used to hunt arrowheads and have a generous collection.have always wanted to be a gold prospector too.these homeade inventions seem to work better than the bought ones
instead of a slide gate getting all the concentrate coming out into the center, wouldn't it be better to have a lift gate so you can get a wider spread? interesting set up. Nice idea
Awesome invention and adaptation!! I am curious about how the "backside" of the bucket is cut to allow water flow into the bucket? I understand the ramp and gate aspect and think it is a great idea!! Can you post pictures of the back of the bucket?
Very cool! I miss being allowed to sliuce rose creek Prescott valley.Hey maybe if you added a small wedge to were the material comes out to the sliuce it would fan the material across more of the rifles? thanks again nice
Very nicely done. I'm building my first sluice box for gold panning in California near Auburn. I'm 1 yr new to the area. What state are you in? Seems pretty rich with that shiny!
how is it when you feed the bucket sluice with more classified material...do you have to remove the bucket from sluice box? Or can you just dump more dirt into it ?
