Hey Will, great IV! Had some questions: 1) If you’re doing a search (not traditional), do you still have to parade it around to ie 10 investors or technically could you just present it to 1-2 to cover the whole acquisition? 2. Do all the deals need to be proprietary or can you look at companies from marketplaces, brokers etc for independent sponsorship? 3. Have you spoken (or interviewed) someone where they bought multiple businesses with private/investor capital, and then partnered with the entrepreneurs vs hiring an operator/being the operator to grow the businesses. How does one go about doing this and how is the process different from traditional search/independent sponsorship?
I think you were hearing "VC", as in venture capital. We were comparing tech industry-style venture capital investing to private equity-style investing.
