Learn to enter deep trance self hypnosis with Dan Jones, practice accessing a deep somnambulistic trance with this older self hypnosis track by Dan Jones. This track is to be practiced with frequently and the technique in the video is to also be practiced separate from this video to learn how to guide yourself into and out of hypnosis.
This is an older track by Dan Jones and has counting up to go into hypnosis and down to exit hypnosis. Nowadays, if Dan re-recorded this track, he would do the counting the opposite way round, preferring to have counting down associated with going into hypnosis and up with exiting hypnosis.

I’ve been doing trance work consistently so this was an easy practice. I’m working through CPTSD and my goal for the trance was to either achieve deep self-work or at the very least, relax. The music, voice, repetitive phrasing and visualization got me there. Thank you

First of all thank you so much for your generous. It really took me in deep trance. I went to 30 years back and remember everything my house, my mother, father, my neighbours almost everything. That's amazing. My question is can we change anything in this state that effected the reality? Or what are we able to do there?

Right, honestly mate I didn't think I could be hypnotised. Nothing else had worked. And my experience with this video was pretty much exactly what the others are saying. I got extremely relaxed and then the counting down started and then... ??? No idea, I don't remember. And I came out of it right before it ended (with a pretty disorientated vision) as everyone else has said. I'm certain I was imagining something but I have no idea what lol. Next step for me is to get good at being aware of the trance so that I can talk to my subconscious and impress upon it. Your video has given me one foot in the door, so nice one :)

Thanks Dan very hypnotic. I've been doing one of your courses on Udemy and will definitely be doing more. You are an excellent teacher and that's coming from someone who has been a hypnotherapist since 2002. Keep up the good work😊

Hi Bree - Great that you are enjoying Dan's Udemy course! I've completed a number of them, and have found them fantastic. Dan is indeed an excellent teacher. Those courses are a goldmine of material. I particularly enjoy the relaxed, conversational way he induces trance.

Suggestion: This is EXCELLENT - but after the spoken part, the music should go on for one or two more hours, so one may use the trance without the music cutting away.

Maybe I shouldn't have done this so late at night. I made sure I was sitting, not to fall asleep. I heard "deep somnambulistic trance" 500 times, I counted to 20, and nothing happened. Eventually I started to doze off, and when I thought the meditation was about to get to the core, I actually get woken up by the next video.

Tired this for the first time. I was awake the whole time, but I think I did go in to trance, as I was extremely relaxed and calm. But didn't know how to navigate in the trance state. I needed some answers from my subconscious, which I asked. But don't know if the answers were supposed to come immediately or over the next few days??

Hmm, this is interesting. I can't remember what happened in this video. I think I just listened to it, but apart from the background music, I don't remember. I guess whatever it was, it worked
@ShineInspire-xp5mk

Me too! I closed my eyes counted and have no idea what just happened. I thought I fell asleep but it's weird right when the music was trailing off at the end I woke up just then. Idk! At least I'm not alone.
@Anjuly.
@Anjuly. 2 года назад
@@ShineInspire-xp5mk yeah, I still don't remember and everytime I counted that way afterwards causes a blank spot in my memory. It feels good though, which makes it even more confusing

Tried again, same result. I feel like the counting will be more automatic now though. Instead of a conscious effort, I feel I just need to think about the reason and time

Me too, I thought it was me falling asleep but yes I also woke up near the end of the video.

Have any of your videos been known to have weird side-effects?
@DanTheTortoise
@DanTheTortoise 15 дней назад
No-one has specifically mentioned any weird side effects. Sometimes people listening to my sleep stories report having vivid dreams or far more dreams (which the stories try to aim to reduce not increase), but the descriptions they share make it sound more like they have been worrying a lot and that this is more likely to have been the cause of of the excessive dreaming as that is what I'm trying to address, the excessive dreaming caused by worrying. Obviously sometimes people don't like something in a story, so I may talk about turning into a bird and flying, but over thousands of listeners, inevitably there will be someone who is scared of this kind of scenario and so finds it causes them anxiety, no matter how much I'm emphasising it's safety and it's a story and do going to be safe. I've had the same where I've talked about walking through the woods, walking along a beach, walking in the sea, swimming in the sea, camping in the woods or countryside, exploring caves, encountering a cat or dog or other animal. Pretty much everything I've included in my stories has at some point had someone experience anxiety about it. I always try to write descriptions that will hopefully make it clear what is in the story, but people don't usually read descriptions. If I've included any relaxation technique then there will always be some people who experience anxiety from relaxation technique. I don't think I've had anyone report any side effects I would think of as weird as all of these things are to be expected. People respond differently to things, so done people may say they don't recall anything, it's as if they blacked out, most will say they recall most of what was discussed and some will say they recall everything. Most people will claim they couldn't visualise what was being spoken about, many will say they had flashes of mental imagery and some will describe these incredible visual experiences. People reporting spontaneous time distortion is common and to be expected. People often say they felt the experience went by much quicker than expected, with others saying it felt like a longer time and a few feeling it passed at about a normal rate of time. This is to be expected and links back to things like the amount of the experience people recall, as well as that usually people stop our significantly reduced their inner dialogue and if you aren't talking to yourself and there are no other sounds then it is hard retrospectively to judge the lengths of silence, with some people feeling they were very long and others almost cutting them out of their experience making the experience seem to have passed much quicker. Due to the high level of rapport when working in person, so not a reaction to videos, it is also common for the person to be so in sync that they have a psychic like experience because they are so responsive to your communication, so you can effectively just think things and they respond... What types of things were you thinking that you would think are weird side effects? Obviously you have some common side effects, like, just engaging in hypnosis or meditation etc often leads to improved sleep that night even if it was done much earlier in the day and had no focus at all on sleep. It is common for people to feel more relaxed for the rest of the day, again despite that not being the focus, and it happens but if less common that some people have such a profoundly pleasant response (what would nowadays be termed an ASMR response) that they can become what has commonly been terms hypnojunkies, where they enjoy the experience so much they almost crave it and seek more of it out...

Well now I'm confused, but I'm also very intrigued. Where are all of these older hypnosis files of yours hiding, Dan?

There are what I've placed on this channel: ru-vid.com/group/PLo72o_wF-LVi2mnXI1IMUOvY-xMo_r6wI I deleted over 600 videos from my other channel back in 2011 and then since 2019 when I turned the other channel into a sleep stories channel I removed a few hundred more. Most of those have relatives unavailable ever since...

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I'm bummed that you deleted the others, but I completely understand why you did it. I feel like I would've really liked your older stuff (although I like your style in general).
