@@Nomeado sonar uses sound waves, radar uses radio waves, but essentially they work on the same principle, but radar is more expensive and is more useful in the air, while sonar is good underwater since sound waves travel better through liquids than gas. Both can work in either environment as you can see with sonar, but it's kinda limited by distance.
