Do you trust God to be the Lord of your life - or is that a title you want to keep for yourself? Last night, Kylen Perry walked us through Matthew 6 to remind us that God doesn’t want us to strive to achieve self-sufficiency, but rest in the confidence that comes with self-surrender.

Matthew chapter 6 and he means that if you live in a developed nation, God will provide for you, but if you don't kinda sucks to suck if you starve to death but God loves you anyway

@@existentialTreat6 thats literally not what he said at all. It doesn’t matter if you are in a first or third world country, God will provide. and he will make sure that we have everything we need. I’ve seen God provide for me all through my life. I grew up in a very poor family, my dad didn’t always have work, but we always had food and we always had a roof. Now, we didn’t have a hot meal a lot of the time, sometimes it was just some baloney and cheese, but God provided food for us because he loved us. He provided lamb for Abraham because Abraham had faith that even if God was calling him to actually go through with sacrificing his son, he would be alright. God is constantly providing for people. He provided us his Son as a sacrifice for our sins so that we would be saved from the pits of hell, and so that we can spend an eternity in his presence and worship him. God doesn’t owe us anything, because we betrayed him, but yet out of his goodness, and his mercy, and his pure love for us, he still provides.
