Our spud trailers work like that, but not as big (30 tonnes). The first time I used one, I forgot to check the boards when I got back to the paddock. I only did that once.
The cigarette is mandatory as it provides good, all round protection in the event a stone flies off the top of the pile or ricochets off another stone or the structure and hits the worker in the head or face. A mandatory hard hat was considered but as the cigarette also does the work of a high visibility jacket which you definitely need in this work environment, it was decided to make the cigarette mandatory.
I have watched a lot of these. Not sure why this one is fake. There is some kind of really obvious overlay going on. It's so strange. I mean they are right there. Why not just film it properly like they normally do.
Maybe they are censoring the company's name? Not much of an issue if you ask me. They just copy a rectangle from above his head to above the beam, that's all.
Safety harnesses are expensive. A couple of gallons of water to hose the squashed worker off the workpiece and another worker to replace him are both cheap.
I see it now, same video, but out of sync (you can see rocks appear below the beam before they fall at the top, but it's from the same footage, still, why bother?
Videos need to be longer or im gonna quit watching this channel. It says satisfying in most videos, which it very much is but then it only lasts a few mins.
