This is the second part of my shower and toilet cubicle build in this video I show you how I installed the hygienic wall cladding panels, how I made the shower door wall and fitted the toilet after replacing the base that was damaged in transit all while dodging the unpaintable West Cumbrian weather

@@scrappychappy74 I found that Moorlands did an aluminium profile with an internal stop so once I had seen it I couldn't not buy it and I was so happy with how the rear lockers turned out I had change the front one to match👍

From Canada: watching your videos with great interest! Your overall work looks more like a big commercial builder work than an home made one. That being said, I am always wondering why people using pocket hole jigs drill two holes one beside the other: with that way of doing things, I should drill three holes together because I am using the Kreg Jig!

Hi I've never really thought about why I've drilled 2 pocket holes beside each other perhaps in the back of my mine I'm thinking more is better and more secure, I have very little joinary experience other than what I've learned along the way and picked up from the university of youtube I just don't know 😁 Thanks for comment it's a good point if you know of any reason why it shouldn't be done that way I would be interested on what you find 👍 Take care Sam

@@TheCraftyBlindersvanlife There is no reason why you shouldn't do that! Every builders I watch on RU-vid are doing that: I was simply not seeing the point of having two screws one beside each other, I prefer to spread them one by one equally along the surfaces to be joined. That's funny: I built a complete caravan from scratch, with no woodworking skills at the beginning, and I was using the same expression as you when talking to people about the project: I just went to the "RU-vid University"!.

Fantastic build totally what iam aiming for . Could you tell me lenths of your bed base back door to where ends and size of shower tray . Many thanks . Ive already got side bars and nudge bar . Oh nd let your insurance know uve a nudge bar as they wont pay in a bump being a modification. I was told by a fellow crafter and sprinter self build on fb. Keep up good work van is fab.

Hi, converting a boat. I would love to see how you're getting on. We have a Facebook group where we share our builds the crafty blinders van builds if you would like to share your progress the furniture board and trim are all from Moorland UK They are a quality product but they are not cheap 👍

Hi Sam - many congrats on the 1000 subs - well deserved on a great job. A quick question if I may? Did you seal the ply walls in the shower with PVA before applying the hygenic board? Many thanks as always.

Hi No I didn't however I did seal all the corners and joints with silicon seam sealer, I then applied lots of panel adhesive to the wood, sealing the wood with PVA is a good idea, if you have the opportunity to do it I would take it

Don’t use pva if it’s likely to get damp it re -emulsifies , use SBR in any damp likely build projects

It's the one thing I would change about the build I would have a toilet that could be lifted in and out and just have a 600 x 600 base

Nice video! Have you had any cracking of the shower base? There are a couple of RU-vidr's who have used the same base and both of theirs have cracked.

Hi we used 2 but cut them in such away we only had 3 joints that can be seen and one hidden in the locker above the bench seat I hope this helps 👍

Where did you run the overflow waste pipe through the floor within the shower tray?

The tambour door is from clearcut conversions ltd I just had to trim the door to size Fitting it was pretty straight forward one of the easier jobs, planning it how ever was a nightmare but it works great The shower is a game changer

Hi, what light fitting did you use? I’m trying to source out a 12v ceiling light that can be used in the shower area?

Hi I thought I had added everything to the description but I hadn't, I've now added this link this its for a warm white light as that's all that available, the one I have installed is cool white on another note just be careful when ordering as a lot of people advertise products as 12v but in reality they are 12v 50Hz so require 240volt supply dropped down to 12v hope this helps LED 12V RECESSED SURFACE MOUNTED SPOT LIGHT CAMPERVAN MOTORHOME ebay.us/d1K7XL
