Yes they don’t but we aren’t buying a 2013 KTM 250SX for $3,900 nor am I paying $4500 for a 2014 Suzuki RM-Z250 with some mods when I can find another closer by with the essential mods for $3100 and the person states they’re negotiable with the price. People need to quit thinking their decade old bike that’s been rebuilt is worth more than $4k unless it’s been meticulously cared for. It’s been damn near impossible to find a bike that isn’t completely clapped or completely overpriced. Even my guys I play MX bikes with that actually ride freaked tf out when I showed them the very few local bikes for sale and even a friend I went to school with who had many bikes said there’s way better deals out there. I wish I knew how to work on a bike but I can’t even get one to try. I have a budget of 4k and I’m about to look at a 2014 Suzuki that’s been rebuilt, the owner got it a year ago and barely rides it. He purchased it from a dealer it doesn’t have a title which I don’t care but I know nothing about it’s owner(s) and what’s been done to the engine. So it’s a risk at the end of the day.

He has 2 garage doors and his garage is massive probably also heated and air conditioned the dog is fine

I find the amount people will pay for a clapped out, 15-20yr old, non running dirt bike completely mind boggling. He regularly pays $700-1500 for known non runners. I can't give away my CAR and it runs n drives. Near mint but suffering early stages rod bearing wear (knocking). Make it make sense.

@@chowchow2386 at the end of the day, trail and dirt bikes always command higher prices, in the uk a decent 20 year old xt600 is around £2500 and a fazer 600 same age is about a third of that, may touch a grand sometimes, go figure !!

@johnr4459 I'm not even talking about "decent" ones. I get that they are luxury items (toys for adults) and generally all other things considered equal command higher prices. But we are NOT talking about "decent" bikes/toys. We were talking about dead, non running ones. Many requiring much more $ to bring up to spec, proper running condition. I used my car as example because I know what a good running, low km, clean car like mine sells for regularly. And I know what's needed and how much to bring it to that value. And therein lies my point. My car (in my market) sells for $3000-3500 cdn in good condition working order. To get mine to that value would require +/- $800 in parts (incl complete, bare engine) and an afternoon to do ALL work needed. I've had it listed for over a month for "scrap" value with everything listed. Best offer I get is $400. Aluminum in car alone (engine, rims, tranny) worth about that in scrap. 🤣

I think everyone is catching on that this dummy will buy anything if they simply say "ran fine a while back, maybe the carb is dirty" or whatever lmao.
