Hey, rewatching as I’m trying to clean out some of the collection I got during lockdown here down under…. I’d love to see a video on how you spot a bootleg dvd… they are getting a lot better than the Bali ones from decades ago

Excellent Nic. You really know how to work it. Thank you for the little tip on the Disney classic tab. The Disney triple princess dvd would go well in a Disney princess bundle. The Disney princess stuff is huge over here in the U.S.

Amazon won't allow bundling of media (books, music, DVDs) which is a bummer. I don't understand that. I have the Wizard of Oz book & tape and can't bundle it.

You're onto a right winner here Nic, can't see why you won't sell all of them this way. I've seen a few comments about people complaining about you running adverts on your videos, I'll say I'm really not bothered, do people realise you can skip almost everyone after 5 seconds. 😉

One question has just come to mind, what are you now doing with the room you used to do your EBay/videos from?

At the moment it is being used for storage. We have thought of expanding the kitchen into it and creating a large kitchen/dining room. But until we decide if we will continue with the shop long term we will hold off on that decision.

on your bundles. do you go for about 2.00 at a dvd each in each bundle?

I try to get as much as possible, when you bundle I find it easier to look at it as one product, for example I just sold one of the 15 DVD bundles for £25 + p&p so at an approximate average of 50p per dvd the whole product cost £7.50 and from that you can see the potential margin.

+Olggord Gord When I had a high street store we had accounts with all the main suppliers and believe me there is no money in it, the margins are awful.

Hi nic, when does it become necessary to apply recorded delivery? is it common for people to pretend they haven't received the item? Also can you post dvds and games into a red post box the way we post letters? or do they have to be sent via post office? Thanks

+Firdous Valley It is up to you, I send anything over £20 recorded & yes you can send DVDs etc via a post box, obviously you will need to apply stamps first...

It will depend on weight - the Royal mail has a website which explains it or you can get a leaflet from the post office...

how long can you keep them on ebay for, if no one buys them in say a months time do you have to re list them? also is it likely they will sell quick? I just saw 63 pages with the miracle on 34th street film.

+Firdous Valley You can keep an item on for as long as you like if you want to keep relisting it, I never have much trouble shifting disney DVDs, they tend to sell fast for me but some of the others may be tougher... As for the Miracle on 34th street, that should be an easy sale as it is new and sealed and the demand for this title will peak in Nov/Dec, if you search completed and sold (new copies) they are already selling well for top end of around £4

+Firdous Valley I Started putting the bundles on earlier, & sold one bundle of 15 within a couple of hours, 15 bog standard kids DVDs average cost to me approx 50p each, sold for £25 with £4 postage on top..

Hi nic, what price should I buy DVDs for? I'm guessing no more than 50p every time I go to the car boot they are charging 1£ and it puts me off as I don't know which ones are more than a few quid to sell. Should I pay £1 on this stuff? I'm only talking about the kids stuff. I value your opinion. Thanks for inspiration. I am now going for the plunge because of you and others alike. 👍👍

+Anita Harrak Pay as little as possible but decent Disney stuff is worth spending £1 on in my opinion

+ulhrick Yes, but it is a very difficult market - search my old videos for ones specifically about selling CDs and media.
