My dad is from Trenton. Here in California we have year round flea markets where vendors are packed in with their cars Lots of cheapest new items along with the clean outs and random vintage games sneakers. You name it. Glad you had a good day

One customer said to me, " I can get this cheaper at Walmart ". Without a pause I gave them directions to Walmart. Take this street, turn right, cross the bridge, left on interstate, 3 miles to exit, it's just on your left. I know they thought I was nuts. 😂 Worked for me.😊
Make a clothing rack out of pvc pipes and use all the hangers you find in storage lockers, it's easier for the people to go through the clothes, keep warm Taco, it was 70 degrees in Valparaiso Indiana yesterday and today it's raining and cold we are currently at 36 degrees. Salsa is so adorable❤

I have several garage sales a year. I used to do the "pile of clothes" method and was left with lots of clothing at the end. Now I sort the items by shirts, pants/jeans/shorts, and shoes. Very little is left over now.
Taco, My wife and I sold at Columbus for a couple of years and it's always been a favorite. WE also sold Lakewood, Lambertville, New Egypt on occasion We moved Out here in Bellingham/Ferndale ,WA , there aren't any like those back home i Jersey, Pennsylvania. Like I wrote to Renee, a lot of memories. We lived in Bayville, N.J. and it was a solid hour ride, probably a bit more for you. Thanks for the memories:) Cheers, Rik Spector

OMG! I had to stop watching so I could comment on that $5 hedge trimmer! What a bargain! And the best part is, you don't have to pull it to start it! I'd buy it if I was there!
When i look for clothes i like it when they have boxes for small , medium , large , extra large , Plus size (Box of shoes ) Then you dont have to go looking threw the whole pile Need to start saving chargers when you find them
That takes more labor, so he'd have to sell them for more than a dollar. Then you can decide if the price is worth the dig. I imagine the sized and organized clothing sells for more.
After watching you for many years , it was nice and a surprise to finally meet you at Columbus. You picked the perfect day. Believe it or not, it gets even more crowded on Sundays in the summer . Hopefully you can make it back there again. Great video.
My shopping preferences re clothes at flea markets. 1) sorted by size. 2) I like a bargain, even at 1$ each if you say six for 5$ I am like to look longer/buy more. 3) I like when you can stuff a bag for 5$, then I am likely to look at clothes as craft fabrics too. That’s my insight. Peace

If you have any under the bed storage bins ( the short ones) put clothes by size in them . People will only have to dig through the size they need. Fill each bin to the top and replenish as needed. It may take a few minutes to separate by size when you are going through storage buys, but it will pay off in the end. Such a nice gesture,bringing you iced coffee and a sandwich!❤
It was a beautiful day, Sunday at Columbus, weatherwise. I never do well when there’s a lot of competition. But it’s better to be out when the weather is good like that.
I wish you would interview some of your other seller friends you visit with after selling. I wanted to know how well Tony did. Just some quick responses from them to see what their day went.
Personally I don't like digging in a mass pile of clothes. I always set up my clothes by folding them up by size. It takes a little more time but I like being able to see stuff based on size. I rarely look at clothes that are in a pile. When doing flea markets in the past, when I packed up clothes I did all my folding and sizing then. Made set up easy.
Ok my only thoughts ...are separate denim/jeans from main pile...folded !!! Resellers are looking for jeans to resell. I prolly would have bought 10 pair at a buck each!!! But I don't like digging for them ..just saying!!!

People, particularly women, are warned about kidnappings. Cans are often used. While a busy flea market is an unlikely place, it is a conditioned response. Vans in parking lots.
Taco, just take the totes with the clothes and put the out at the end of your tables on the ground. People will dig through the bins. Just my suggestion.
That’s too bad about the clothes! The flea markets aren’t close to me but my kids grew so fast that we got a lot of their clothes from garage sales & thrift stores!

Looks like you’re at Columbus. I live about 5 miles from there now and grew up a short distance north in Trenton. We would always go to the market when I was younger and now I try to get there about once a month. I’m usually at Kate & Al’s pizza 2x a month. If you get a chance, try it, it’s one of the best pizzas around.

It's difficult world today for good people. It's kind of hard to not have it get to you. The world is upside down. Most people are feeling it, I do believe. He may be a little down at times, but he's never a bummer. I hope you subscribe and find out, as this is just my POV.
When it comes to clothes, bigger sizes move faster. Smalls/XS are what's usually left. I'd probably keep walking; I wear 1x TALL shirts and 11/12 shoes. No point in looking. Smaller women can make out like bandits.
Just a suggestion with the clothes and because you had a lot go to .50 , I know that's half your cost., But if the lady's look interested in them and you have a big pile,and get rid of them plus don't really want to pack them up, I would bet you would sell some items for sure. If they dont sell well you tryed. Being the first of the month some people just got their checks. Expiscally women with children. This is a cheap way for those on a fixed income to buy clothes. Hay it could be a win,win. Just a thought. Lady's love a good bargain.
Ohio is known for their markets( flea,amish,swap meets) there are large ONES in ROGERS,HARTVILLE,SPRINGFIELD,PAINESVILLE. , MIDDLEFIELD, ANDOVER.SOME weekly,some monthly.
That doesn't make sense to me either, as you said, buy the power tool cheap and buy a new charger. In the long run the charger will probably last longer than the $5.00 tool. I can understand your way of thinking. I try to steer clear of open vehicles at markets, it's the owners personal space. Sandwich looked awesome. Looked like a huge day for everyone. Good old Tony, what a wonderful man.
Unless it's something higher end I know I can make money on, I got out of regular clothing for the flea market. Military, regular coats and jackets, leather coats and jackets, workers, coveralls. Marlboro and Camel, and collectible clothing is what I deal in. To many vendors at the flea market I'm at are selling regular clothing for 50¢-$2. Just not worth it and takes up too much space.
