Yes there is my friend, literally every other gothic rock band that came before this to make s band like this possible, sousixe and the banshees, The cure, alien sex fiend, specimen, joy division, 1919, sisters of mercy, 13chime, sex beat, sex gang children's, naftha's preview, pion delft box, martin dopount, death in june before they were dark neofolk they were darkwave, 45 grave, Dead or Alive, AND MUCH MORE. Obscure and rare classics to Popular classics I could name hundreds of bands selofan and other new gothic rock bands OWE BIG TIME! Also selofan sounds like lebon Hanover which it obviously takes inspiration from, just like vision video takes inspiration from the Cure. THE CLASSICAL weird and rare obsecure bands and their popular cousins WILL ALWAYS BE MASTERPIECES AND GEMS. I love Selofan I do but they dont even COMPARE to the emperors of gothic and our beloved subculture scene. They are really good and one of the best of this generation sure, but they AREN'T the best by far! Sry buddy maybe to you though.
