Thanks for the video.. So, do you think it is enough to use keywords only in titles? While preparing an article, I was selecting and adding variations of related keywords that had high search volumes. Is this keyword cannibalization?
Nowadays a lot of this depends on the industry, also if you are doing local or international SEO. Generally speaking you'd want the exact keyword to appear in the title, and a variation in the H1.
Always love your content, it's very informative. I have a question, does Google automatically rank you for semantically related keywords or should we be using a keyword tool to let them know the related keywords? I'm not at the end yet, you probably tell us in the video. Also what browser extension do you use to see the number of searches etc?
The extension is called MozBar, I think, I used to use it back sometimes. Piece of advice, don't waste money on keyword tools of you're not earning anything from your blog.
I think you might have misunderstood. It is not about optimizing for a specific keyword, but for a whole list of semantic keywords. Think of it this way, people don't use keywords to search. Everyone searches differently. For instance, some people may search Dubai's top dog trainer, and others will search dog training schools, etc., So, if you are a dog trainer ranking for these keywords will automatically bring in more traffic and leads.
@@LetsTalkSEO thank you for reply. my point is if you are a dog trainer in Dubai why should work on a universal phrase like dog trainer? it take more cost and time to get a good rank. and as my experience, using good on-page link building and choosing good schemas works very good for semantic. I would appreciate if you create a video about this on your opinions and experiences.
Well, you're not targeting for instance the entire word. If you have Dubai in the title and once in the H1 that's usually enough to tell Google which region you're targeting. Even better yet if you have .a .ae domain. However, once you've identified the region, you'd want to broadly target people who may be searching for your business but aren't going to use the exact same keyphrase. That's where on-page semantic SEO comes in. Schema and internal link building are certainly important, and I have videos on that too. But think as this as being more icing on the cake especially when it comes to your on-page.
So, if you fire up a website, the title will be visible on the tap. For instance, the title of this tab should be Semantic SEO, the H1 on the other hand is on the content of your page. So, they are two different yet important parts of your on-page SEO.
I agree, and my microphone arrived yesterday. So, my latest video about keyword research should have better audio. But let me know how things sound on your end.
