Yeah i have to give Alcaide his full credit. He is a seasoned veteran at age of 44. And has proven to be more experienced and made more composed shots and better decisions than Raga in the Finals as Raga showed some mental lapses and bad decisions in last 2 racks that caused him the tittle. But its ok, he is only 26, he has alot more chance to come. And as we all witnessed the talent and skills that he got in his arsenal, you should know that he is a force to be reckoned with in major tournaments to come.
@KarlBoyes Lately i have noticed a lot of the players have changed their play cues. As a dedicated fan, i would love to see some updated "What's in the bag" bits, with players showcasing what they are currently playing with. All the best!
Absolutely. In our gear-minded age, it would be easy for Matchroom to film a few more puff pieces like whats in the bag and other BTS bits at these tournaments. There are breaks already between racks, especially player bathroom breaks. Easy enough to film a few quickies and have them on hand to go at a moment's notice. Hell, even a quick vid interviewing fans who they're faves are... All stuff that other sports take the time to do, which results in more personal interest in the game itself. P.lus Karl is a pretty good on camera personality so the pieces are all there. Even have JJ film a few on table tutorials/shots of the day reviews.... So much could be done and most of it would seem to be quite effortless to produce.

For those that have been sleeping, Anton Raga has been from the top ten players in the world for at least the past five years and there is NOONE that has more Natural talent including the incredible Josh Filler

I've seen the movie "Troy" where the mighty and seemingly invincible warrior Achilles who was winning every war but only to be killed by an arrow that struck him on his heel. Achilles Heel, as I know it, is an idiomatic phrase today that refers to the attributes that can show anyone's weakness or weaknesses.
@@xl000 When Achilles was a born, his mom dipped him in miraculous water that made him invincible all over except at the heel where his mom held him when he was dipped. His heels never got dipped so that was his only weakness. I learned that old -school. My mom told me when I was a kid. Not from wiki.

"Derby City Classic a bit below this level?" Come on Mark - could you please be just a little less Matchroom biased? The Derby City is one of the historically biggest tournaments in American pool. For decades. That statement was filled with ignorance and sheer promotional bias.

I am generally supportive of the efforst Matchroom is making with 9ball, especially listening in terms of the game itself [break box, 9 on spot, longer and progressively longer races, no idiot shootouts...lol]. And for sure I appreciate the money and effort spent on production and new media promotion - pro pool has never looked this good nor been this accessible. BUT! They've only been at it for a few years. DCC has been around for decades, and is the truest multi-discipline gigantic tournament in the world. Pool is far more than just [basically] checkers 9 ball, but that's a whole other discussion. I do think Matchroom should just take a chance and abandon the far more luck based 9 ball rotation and go for the far superior but basically same 10 ball discipline that eliminates a large amount of the luck factor. Loo, I get Mark's comment for what it is. He works for Matchroom. The corporate propaganda machine needs to be strong or Mistress Emily will throw a hissy fit. :P But that comment was as I said, ignorant and pretty insulting towards a legendary event like the DCC.
Depressing. I paid to watch this final day on Matchroom's website but the semi-finals and final isn't available. Now I have to go through the hassle of getting a refund. Why do the people who run pool make it impossible to watch? Insane. We all know who won by now so why did I pay to watch? Stupid. This happens time and time again.
Hindi ko. Na pinapanuod ang laban ni Anton ulit.. Ang sama ng loob ko sa pagkatalo nya!!! Naulit na naman yung laban nila ni wu Chia ching sa China.. Sa kanya na yung laban biglang sumablay!!! Sayang Anton.. Next time Anton fake your time relax lng sa mga tira mo. Hwag mag madali.
Whatever you said Anton Raga has already been done and lost his momentum in the Finals. Let's faced the real consequences. He loss the victory because he can't hold the pressure and missed objective ball that's the only reason why he lost which he deserved at that point of winning Moment. He Shows active and ran out but still remains not 100% can't breakdown his nerves. Thats the thing called mind against pressure. If he only focused on every object ball to make it him looks more sharp and accurate pocketing and cueball preparation. It don't deserved for him of lossing which isn't toughed enough of ball settings and not enough difficult ball situations which he had missed on the 6. What a missed opportunity for Anton and second he made it to the finals he loss again because of his pressure
@@yeti977no HE's not. Raga is Raga, he has his own style, and i like it , it carried him towards FINALS. And in the future he would win more matches, in the meantime let Efren be Efren, (The Great Magician!) and let Raga be Raga (the Dragon!
