Semi hemispherical fret ends the better way 

I'll be honest, even with this wonderful tool, fitting semi hemispherical fret ends still takes a long time. But this neat diamond grinding tool does make the results a lot more consistent.

Needless to say, this isn't how I actually work. It's a demo of how quick the grinding wheel is.
When working on an instrument, I grind the fret ends on one side of the neck all together. Then with a custom jig all the frets are cut to the perfect length at once. Then all the opposite fret ends are ground round. Once all that has been done, the fret ends are polished one after the other on the soft wheel you see in the video. Then the frets are installed into the prepped fretboard.
It is a lot of work, but it feels great to play on a neck with this treatment.
