This was a great comparison. So much more warmth in the full hollow body.

Semi hollow is very nice for neosoul with jazzy elements.

I have both types…I always lean toward the hollow body…but I really love both. I never use the bridge pickup by itself. Nice way to do your video demonstration of both types. And nice playing!

This was very helpful to hear the same guitarist play both types of guitars back to back!

J ai acheté d occassion ibanez AFS 75 T de 2005 pour 180 euro !.bien que certainement pas comparable å celle de votre test ... l ibanez AFS est fine ( 4.3 cm) et est entièrement creuse et sonne super pour le jazz ou blues léger avec léger overdrive ... j ai epiphone les paul 100 avec plus de sultain en jazz mais l ibanez à ce son plus boisė et chantant pour jazz évidemment. Musicalement alain 🎶🎸

I liked Archtop more! What about carved vs laminate archtop guitar? Probably carved better sound for low (home/studio) volumes, laminate for higher volumes (less feedback)? Thanks!

It’s very interesting when I play I prefer the sound of my hollow body. But if you’re playing, I definitely prefer the sound of the semi hollow body. I don’t know why.

Me gustan mucho las dos, son unos guitarrones... la verdad es que es dificil elegir, en estos casos tienta mucho decir que las dos xD Tengo una Ibanez AG85 y estoy muy contenta con ella, es de cuerpo completamente hueco, pero al ser mas pequeña y estrecha puedes controlar un poco mejor el feedback. La lleve a modificar hace poco para ponerle unas humbucker (venia con unas mini humbucker flotantes). Diria que es de las mejores marcas calidad precio, tiene muy buenas alternativas asequibles o de calidad similar a la Gibson ES 175. muchas gracias por compartir, llevaba tiempo buscando una buena comparativa entre semi y hollow.
