This came as a complete surprise to me. I was on my way to Mt. Pleasant for a WMPullers show, and upon arrival, I heard vehicles pulling already. I rushed to the track and saw that there were street stock semis pulling. I never saw anything about this online or anywhere. This was a "show before the show" kind of deal, so I started filming the street stock semis about halfway through the class, then was surprised to see hot diesel semis also pulling. I was able to get that entire class on video. I wish I would have known about the semi pulls earlier, and I would have been able to film the entire street stock class.

Good editing... the video was the high spot of each pull, no time wasted on setting up ech pull, etc. Good job.

It’s blows my mind semi’s sled pulling isn’t a huge thing. Way more people drive or own a semi than a tractor.

What gear are these guys taking off in? It doesn't look like they even shift.

I think it depends on the drivers preference and how much torque they have. The more torque the higher the gear. Personally i would just stick to second gear (not counting low so technically third gear) And pull her nice and slow.

@@SirFloofy001 only problem with that theory is alot of these guys are spinning at a dead stop at the end so you can pull nice and slow but when the weight comes on your gonna stop early and just spin. But if you can get a high enough gear that barely stalls you out you can get momentum on your side and get further before the weight comes on. I wish I knew what gear these guys are starting in, judging by speed and how low the engine is when they leave the start line I would guess 4th, so including low 5th that's about 20-30 or so MPH depending on their rev limiter, gearing ect. I'm guessing these guys are built to handle high revs that a stock motor, so they maybe going faster.
