Three fresh reads for me in the fiction final: Shuggie Bain, Vivek Oji and Prettiest Star. Really looking forward to all of them after hearing good things of them from other booktubers over past months.
So I only have My Dark Vanessa to read in the fiction section now and all of the 7 books in nonfiction. I really enjoy reading along with the booktube prize.
So excited to judge the fiction final. I've already read one book, and four of them were already on my TBR. The other sounds brilliant too, so I'm in for an amazing time!
Exciting! :-D So I guess I have to read Shuggie Bain at last... hadn't felt the need so far. ;-) Going from the first round in fiction I would have picked two for the finals that actually made it, the rest of my list would have looked very different. Thank you Robert!
Thank you for your hard work, Robert. I can't wait get started and already ordered all the books I haven't read yet at my local book store. They all sound very interesting.
This is such a good final matchup! I am happy to see that the nonfiction category has such a diverse range of topics and that the fiction category has quite a nice range as well. I have not read any of these books and will be intrigued to see which books achieve gold, silver, and bronze! I am becoming more and more eager to join in 2022! I love how much your prize is growing and am hoping it continues to grow. I was speaking to one of the judges last week and she had quite an experience. I will be eager to watch her video when it comes out, as I will be eager to watch the other semifinal videos. In addition to throwing my hat in the ring when the time comes, I will do my best to recruit some more judges for 2022. It is definitely worth participating and if there is one thing that should be on everyone's Booktube Bucket List, it would be to judge at least one round of the Booktube Prize, and even better if you are able to judge more rounds of the prize. Bravo, Robert! -Josh
