Not that you care, but historical analysis shows that during the period from 1961 to 2016, Republican administrations had 18 times more individuals and entities indicted, 38 times more convictions, and 39 times more individuals who served prison time compared to Democratic administrations. Nixon and Trump (in that order) had the most corrupt administrations in American history, with the more criminal convictions than any other administrations.

As a Republican Voter who lives in NJ, I would rather him stay in and run for re-election because he changed his party affiliation to Independent, so now the new Democrat nominee is a guy representing NJ's 3rd congressional district on the house floor, making this NJ's very first 3 person senate race and I think there's some possibility that with Menendez as an incumbent who was a Democrat, now a third party candidate will split the vote with the new Democrat nominee, giving NJ it's very first Republican senator in 50 years.

I suspect the Democrats are hoping he will leave on his own without forcing the expulsion. The problem is he is up for re-election this year. So if he resigns, the governor has to assign a replacement who then has to put a campaign together before the November election. Either way, it just opens the seat up to a potential republican win.

How is it that our government doesn't have a committee oversite of each departments books? On a regular basis. Don't count on each department giving you the actual ledger/documents sent to you. I'm sure the tax payers will not mind spending on this to avoid the cost of these corruption nightmares.
