Have you seen her voting district? It's specifically set up to be 99% urban neighborhoods. A white nationalist could win that district if they ran as a Democrat. But that is the American system. I'm willing to bet that the majority of people responding in this thread can't even name their actual representative without looking it up. Everyone seems more interested in OTHER people's representatives. It's the whole point of a representative. So if you aren't in Sheila's district, you shouldn't care if she wins or not anymore than someone from her district should care who represents you.

The city of Houston did itself a great favor by voting against Lee. There is no place for a politician who yells racism every time they lose an argument. Like a lot of cities around the country Houston deserves a mayor who will make value-added moves to improve the quality of life of its citizens.

@@Zeromaus Politicians make the policies and decide what to uphold and what not to in their municipalities. Nowhere is that more apparent than in Chicago. If you're light on crime Chicago is what you get. Light on crime along with defunding the police policies have been and are Democrat policies. A direct result is the increased crime anyone can see nationwide in Democrat-run cities.

Just take a look at the area from Travis to San Jacinto between Pierce/45 Gulf Freeway and McGowan. You have that buffer area between Downtown and Midtown surrounded by homeless addicts which can be daunting to deal with during the day, let alone at night. It's no wonder Greyhound relocated their Houston bus terminal from Main and Webster to Magnolia Park (70 St and Harrisburg) which is less convenient from the main freeways looping around Downtown. It was very unnerving for passengers, including visitors who are passing through to other destinations, to have to deal with these addicts loitering outside the terminal.
