Send in the Clowns is a song written by Stephen Sondheim for his musical A Little Night Music. This piano accompaniment is as per the tempos of the legendary performance given by Judi Dench in the Hey Mr. Producer concert in 1998. You can see that performance here : • Judi Dench - "Send In ...
It is almost identical to the score version except after the initial solo intro (usually on clarinet) the score only has one bar main intro whereas the concert had two bars before the first lyric 'Isn't it rich?...',

The Accompanist has created a collection of Piano Accompaniments of Musical Theatre and Popular music songs.
These Broadway and West End accompaniments have been specifically performed to match the tempos of the original (cast) recordings where possible. These karaoke style tracks have been created to give the audition performer the sound of what is likely within an audition environment where often we are not faced with a full orchestra but simply a pianist. Therefore the songs can sound very different to the fully orchestrated version.
