@@PhantomFPV so... Im absolutely gutted... I bought DJI FPV to fly "manual", I don't know if my definition of manual was wrong but basically even on manual mode my drone automatically goes up.... like... ??? Im 70 hours into Liftoff before it arrived, practising there in a mode where if I release all my buttons the dron will just fall down - meaning it won't go up or hover still on its own I need to constantly control the throttle to keep it levelled same like you do in a car and if I release all the buttons the dron will just start falling down like a helicopter with an engine off. How to turn that on?? Or what drone doesn't have this nonsense? Cos if its about the drone model im selling it and getting another one TODAY. Its shocking because I was flying exactly DJI FPV model in the Liftoff simulator, not a different drone model. I ve been on Liftoff via my DJI controller 2 doing double backflips and rolls like its nothing - on what I thought manual mode - and now in reality even the manual mode is with an assist. There is not a mode like that in my actual drone/goggles. What the actual F?

@@PhantomFPV Roger that, brother. Same to you. I just ordered the new DGI FPV drone and I'm waiting on my passport and then I'm going to Ukraine to help them. I saw a story the other day on CNN where a kid that had never flown a drone before lied about it and they gave him one, he took it home and practiced. Next thing you know he's at the front helping guide artillery strikes. I've been flying ever since drones came out and I'm not going to sit on my ass and watch the people of Ukraine get slaughtered by rapists and looters. I'll video as much as I can and try and post to RU-vid so people can see what's going on and hopefully raise money for the Ukrainian Air Reconnaissance Unit. Wish me luck. Slava Ukraini! 🇺🇸💪🇺🇦✊

I would have gone slowly up first to see the interior. I knew about the shelves, but some chimneys have grates, sometimes rusted out and rods protrude from the wall of the stack! But you did it!

I subbed just because that dive is ridiculous! Send it sundays!! Love it bro..much love from a fellow pilot....i have an old steel mill cooling tower chimney type thing like that were i live in Pa. And when i first started flying acro a year ago i thought it would be the craziest thing to dive if there were a way out the botton of it. Unfortunatley mine where i live isnt diveable. Ill definetely be watching for the next one.

@@PhantomFPV thanks brother! Unfortunately it's -40 degrees Celsius where I live, so it's going to be a few months until I'm back out doing the real thing. I recently watched your Apex bomb-proof drone build, and took a lot of your tips for the kiss build I'm doing right now. Mainly the stackable rubber standoffs, since The Source One HD frame uses the same screws for the arm as it does for the stack. I'm also using 10 gauge leads for the xt60, as well as securing the antennas in the 3D housing with E6000. Should be a tank. This will be the third 5in I've built since winter began and I haven't been able to Maiden any of them so far. I'm Going Bonkers, so in the meantime I'm just putting in several hours on the Sim to keep my hands familiar with the radio. Until then, I will live vicariously through your videos. 🙌

That dive was so official. Been practicing on sims all the time and it’s that kick back on the pitch to end it with that throttle up at the bottom of the dive. It’s the keeping it level that could be anyone’s sticking point but practice makes perfect. Plus the air movement through that stack may have an effect during the fall but still awesome job. A GoPro died that day, maybe hold the eulogy at Best Buy.

Yes sir! Stay in it! I had a lot of wind to contend with up at the top. That’s why I had to readjust a few times. That didn’t help the entry much either. We’ll get it one of these days. Thanks a bunch my friend! Yep, it’s been tried before. There’s a major racing league but nothing dedicated to freestyle anymore. Periodically larger events will host a freestyle comp but usually just racing. Hoping to change that in the future. Needs to be more freestyle comps too! Thanks a bunch gents!

I'm only about two minutes in, but I was just thinking that with the smoke stack keeping a column of air contained it might create a cushion or ground effect when you get towards the bottom thus being able to slow down faster with that column of contained air. I guess I'll see.. 😁 PS I like how you use kind of a hybrid thumbing and pinching

I appreciate the controller cam because I haven't flown FPV but would love to get into it however when I have tried sims and stuff I was just holding sticks in positions and didn't realize you're constantly just gently feathering throttle! In the first week of the war I donated my DJI Mavic Pro and DJI goggles along with extra batteries and other equipment to the brave men and women of Ukraine. They sent me video of them thanking me for it and also of it being used in action. I remember when people said that drone enthusiast was a "stupid hobby".
