But was it RU-vid or a copyright holder that is being the jerk here? I know I had a copyright notification once but at least they (Warner Chappell Music) were going to let me keep my video up. I fought it however as they claim we sung a song called something along the lines of The New Doxology at my Grandpa's funeral which I live-streamed. I had never heard of such a song. It turns out they just cut and pasted the original lyrics and tune which are in the public domain and added other verses to it. I wrote a nice long explanation explaining that it was congregational singing and that it was only the original that was sung no additional verses were used (list of the original author and the years etc. based on a hymn history website). I won the case as it was withdrawn. I believe there's a second claim on that recording but we did actually sing that song and the claim only involved nations that I doubt anybody would ever view from (they can still look at it but they might be an ad involved). Whereas the other one was for all nations. So I let it slide. In this case it seems like the copyright holder is refusing to let the video be publicly available not RU-vid.
@@BBC600 RU-vid is being a jerk to all creators and viewers by letting their service be so badly affected by spurious copyright claims. I'm sure that many legitimate claims are made, but so many that I'm aware of are by copyright trolls.
Ill be damned... The number still works! Interesting that I become across this video, because I had always wanted one of those fax machines that look exactly like that. This seems to be one of the better looking models with phone and answering machine included.
I am going to give that a try. I don't personally own a fax machine, but the local post office near me does have a fax machine. Fortunately, they do not charge if you are faxing just a single document.
I still have a fax machine in my home. I only use it 6-8 times each year but occasionally there is something that requires a fax machine even to this day. I also still have POTS so faxing from home is an option for me.
LOL nice one! One year ago today! I wonder if they ever received this and carefully considered your situation? I'd be really surprised if they didn't! :v)
I know with my Google account my Mum had to send a fax to grant me permission to have the account because I was under 13 and they were going to shut down my Blogger account which we worked hard on. I hope you made sure to photocopy that transmission report because the thermal paper is fragile.
US federal law requires such accounts be in the name and control of a person 13 or older. The account should have been in your mother's name to begin with. That has been true for over 20 years. I hope you were able to get that straightened out but keep that in mind if you now have a child that wants to use social media.
