Hi olly, once again a really good video. I’m now really excited to see the mf 135 to be restored I think she will look brilliant. Hope your staying safe mate
You just gotta love the MF 135, we've got a 1972 135 back home and it's just such a beast compared to the newer machinery we have. let's hope it can serve you for many more years to come, cheers!
Nice to see the 135 getting ready to go off for restoration. I remember pulling my grandads/mine apart and doing the restoration, bloody hard work but the feeling once it was all back together and shining in the sun was great not only that getting on the front cover of tractor and machinery and winning best in show at the first show I attended with it was a massive sense of achievement. Massey Ferguson’s never die 😎😎😎
I’ve been restoring my international 444 and just need to paint the fenders, rear wheels and cab. I also need to try and find some doors and glass for the cab as it didn’t have any when we bought it. Today will be the first start since I gave it a good overhaul. Hope your restoration goes well. Can’t wait to see the progress
Great video Olly. When pressure washing it’s better to wash it first with just water and get the worst of the mud of then put the snow foam on. As the foam doesn’t work that well straight on the tractor or implement. 👍
Great video! looking forward to see the result of the restoration! But I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with four different tires on the tractor xD
Very straight and unusually complete 135. Should be a relatively straightforward restoration compared to some. Will not need to resort to many pattern tin work bits.
Les meilleurs les MF 135 ;) !! Tu va le restauré si j'ai bien compris ? J'en es un aussi de 1970 et fabriqué en France ... J'ai aussi un 158 de 1977 . J'aime bien tes vidéos continue comme ça ..
Matt Davies I believe you hook the PTO up to tractor which will in turn generate electric, on my farm we have something similar for if the mains power goes out when we milk our cows but it’s hard to tell if ollys is the same as it is in a wood hut but I’m sure I’m not too far off, hope this helps
Good thing about most old tractors is that the drive train are usually over engineered hents why you see a lot of pulling tractors with a major rear end. Mechanically usually not much to fix. Even If it does need a complete strip they're pretty simple. The body work is where a bodge restoration will show.
There is one in the shed but I like the open look, perhaps we might put a roll bar on though ;)

@@OllysFarmLtd Cab would be extra benefit when it's rainining. MF135 is meant to do work not just for display. I bought one recently and took care to get one with proper (=save) cab. The look way better when naked, agreed, but even the smallest cab will be beneficial when the sun is burning down on you, from rain or when you are in the woods for woodwork and twigs slap your face otherwise.
Rule of thumb way to tell on the old 35's is, if the exhaust is on the right it's a four cylinder Standard, if it's on the left it's three cylinder Perkins (There are some four cylinder petrol 135s about, but they are rare and they do follow this rule.) Now queue someone that really, really knows this subject that's going to explain the exceptions relating to American made Masseys, P3 specials, etc...
I'm in Australia, the Massey Ferguson 100 series 135 to 188 all had red wheel centres too, not sure why the UK are silver, also mine has the Multipower gearbox, which gives you fast road speed, mine does 40kmh / 25 MPH
You should talk to Matt at Bunker Branding for merch. Guy is a youtuber himself(Demolition Ranch, Off the Ranch and Vet Ranch) and they got a good thing going there
Bird muck is a nightmare for staining we just got a brand new Massey 5711 dyna 4 and the chickens keep sitting on it doing there business and it takes ages to come off 😂
That'll be an easy restoration. There's nothing wrong with it other than what looks to be the head gasket leaking oil. You'll have her back in no time.
