Senile Cataract is the most common long case that is kept in ophthalmology viva exam and in this video we will learn what questions to ask the patient, how to ask those questions in patient's own language and also what questions the examiner is likely to ask you in your viva exam.
We will discuss in detail about diminution of vision, its onset, progression, second sight, cupuliform cataract, cuneiform cataract, coloured halos, glare, photophobia, diplopia, polyopia, scotoma, photopsia, metamorphopsia. We will also learn how to rule out other causes of cataract, how to take past history, systemic history, treatment history, personal history, family history & socio economic history of the patient.
