Senior Connection | Grandparents Raising Grandchildren 

Did you know that at least 1 in 10 children across the U.S. are being raised by at least one grandparent?
This innovative program meets grandparents raising grandchildren and other kin right where they’re at, whether that be a local senior center, community organization, or public school.
Through our team of Grandfamilies Community Health Workers (GFCHWs), and with the guidance of Jarelys Castillo, our program director of Grandparents Raising Grandkids Resource Center, we will increase access to resources for grandparents raising grandkids across Central Massachusetts in communities such as Worcester, Leominster, and Southbridge. GFCHWs will connect households led by grandparents to services such as: Advocacy, Housing, Rental Assistance, Legal Aid, Mental & Behavioral Health, Food and Nutrition, Healthcare, Translations, Financial Literacy, and more.
We envision these wraparound family services as a way to make a tangible impact for grandparents raising grandkids while also strengthening community partnerships to improve service delivery.
