my name is Will Mann and I'm in Oklahoma! currently on broadway. I never post comments on videos and I have no idea how this particular video found itself in my suggested videos but.... this made me cry and I can't fully explain why. I didn't attend Michigan (tho I know tons of colleagues who did). I do however remember my last year studying musical theatre in college, with all the hopes and the doubts and the naiveté. I'm currently realizing my dreams and I still miss what it felt like when my entire career was ahead of me and unknown. that hopefulness and bravery is particularly necessary in this business. I saw it pouring out of each of these young(so very young) faces. cherish these moments kids. remember what this feels like when you can't see your way forward. also the Michigan to broadway pipeline is so real. don't know what y'all drinking over there.

@@kammo1976 yes! so many michigan mt alumni end up on Broadway! Their musical theater program is one of the most famous (and selective) in the country! getting into michigan for musical theater majors is basically as big of a deal (and as difficult) as a regular person getting into yale

I’ve literally never expressed interest in this school, the prospect of singing, the prospect of dancing, or the prospect of joining the broadway community but even I feel like this video and school is pretty lit. Although that being said, I love all things broadway. Just isn’t necessarily my niche.

I’ve been watching these since high school and now I’m starting my first year at NYU in Musical Theatre. It doesn’t matter where you end up because no matter where you are there are so many amazingly, talented people surrounding you. Great job 2020 this was amazing!!! Me too girly! But I realised that I want to do whatever I can do reach my goals! So right now I'm joining clubs to gain my confidence, and to help my anxiety. I'm gonna join one of my schools musical were doing in spring (Chicago), or well I plan to push myself too. Just do things that can help you slowly reach your goals! I didn't understand why RU-vid kept recommending this video to me until I heard them sing the tune of In The Heights. Love it! Also, seeing this made me sad again about the class of 2020. I'm a senior in high school, and knowing I'll have my college years at unc to look forward to is the only thing keeping me going. I can't imagine what it's like for the college students. TFW when you know and love enough Broadway to have a shit eating grin as you watch this...but NOT enough Broadway knowledge to know the shows/songs that your ear definitely recognizes. LOVE THIS SO MUCH. Now I have to watch all the past years ones lol - a boring Psych/Philosophy major that graduated from UC Davis

I’ve watched this probably 5 times in its entirety, and it gets better each time. I couldn’t sleep last night because it was stuck in my head. I’m Canadian and WAY passed undergrad, so I don’t know why RU-vid recommended this for me, but I’m so glad it happened.
