I AM A TRUE FAN! I was there when it all started ... My first year as a student was Knight's 2nd year as coach ... I've seen it all ... I attended the '73 Final Four, I've seen 30 games per year for the past 50 years ... I've been to Assembly Hall 100 times and I live in Chicago ... I've attended 20 IU road games in my life since graduating ... I sleep in candy stripe pajamas and when IU loses, I can't even get out of bed the next day! And to my knowledge, I have NEVER seen an IU coach fail to recruit a single player for the upcoming season ... Let alone, not a single in-state player over the past 3 years ... I am tired of watching Reneau complain about missed calls while the ball is still in play ... Same goes for X ... I also want to know why Woodson sat Leal for the first 20 games! And I absolutely hate seeing this team wear black uniforms and Woodson doing his press briefings wearing black IU gear. Tell Dolson it cheapens the image of this once great program! There has to be somebody better for this job than Mr W ... I am a true fan and I thought Woodson's "true fan" comment was pretty nasty!
We TRUE fans have been suffering for a very long time!! When we see our current coach is 0-31 on recruits……… we need a TRUE COACH and MIKE WOODSON is not it!!

Squeaky into the tournament only to get BLOWN out the last two years is Indiana basketball……..we apparently need a major overhaul, not only in the coaching department but the THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE THESE BASKETBALL HIRES!!
Hey Mark, any enjoyment Woodson got out this was very momentary and fleeting ... Ya see, NEB beat us by 27 pts the other night ... he has failed in the one area in which we all expected him to excel - recruiting!
Who’s y’all!?? As a life long IU fan I’m sick of this BS!! The IU administration needs to be gutted because they have proven for TWENTY-FIVE years that they don’t care about THE sport that everyone else cares about!!!!
Woody, you are being an ass with your "true fans" comments. You have a right to be criticized as the poor coaching and lackadaisical play of your team was responsible for a 14-13 start of the season. Grow a pair and lead your team.
I agree with Woodson on some things and some things I don't, but I have to say, this year there has been a lot of things I don't agree with. Woodson has said some real ignorant, stubborn and out of touch with reality things this season, that truly makes me question his ability to lead and coach, more and more. Look, at first I liked Woodson and still try to support him, but he is doing himself no favors and is doing all this to himself. He is alienating the fan base and acting like he is above IU and he can do no wrong. I like that he is a Bob Knight guy! However, some of the things he says, are extremely ignorant, stubborn and just out of touch with reality. Just one example of many, Woodson says he has done his job and it shouldn't be in question and it speaks for itself and mentions the true fans etc... We are the true fans, the ones who care and are passionate and support our team, but we also want to see IU succeed at the highest level and when someone isn't doing their job, we hold them accountable because we do care! Nobody is bigger than IU, not even Bob Knight himself, who is a big part of IU and it's success, but Woodson literally is acting like he is above IU and is above any accountability! His stubbornness, ignorance and arrogance is just frustrating as a fan. He is alienating and dividing the fan base and that is not good at all. Woodson says, he has done his job and should not even be a question. Well Woodson, first off you are not Bob Knight and second off, you are now in your third season as Indiana coach and you have not won any NCAA tournament titles; you have not won any tournaments period, including the big ten tournament; you have not won the big ten conference one single time yet; you have never even made it to the sweet sixteen yet and in your third season at Indiana, there is still a good chance you might not even make the NCAA tournament and lastly, we sit here in 2024, with not one single recruit in the 2024 recruiting class. Indiana might be the only team in the nation, that I am aware of, with 0 recruits in the recruiting class, that is just unacceptable anywhere, let alone a program like Indiana and Mike Woodson has the audacity to call out the fans and sit there with his arrogance, stubbornness and ignorance like he has done no wrong and is doing his job. Who in the hell does this guy think he is? If that is called doing your job, the standards at Indiana must have fallen to a Ball State level or worse. I mean, it is like they want us fans, to stop being fans and not care about our team and not speak the truth, or hold anyone or anything accountable! It is ridiculous! Mike Woodson and his staff better wake up and hit the recruiting trail and start putting in the work and start with home grown talent, that actually cares about the program and winning basketball at Indiana! I think the biggest problem right now is, Mike Woodson is too comfortable and nobody in charge is holding him accountable! The only ones holding him accountable are us the fans and that is why he is getting so mad, he doesn't like to be held accountable! The truth hurts! Right now we got the blind leading the blind at IU! Look, I am beyond thrilled that IU has won 4 games in a row and hope the success continues. Winning and success is first and foremost as a fan and I am happy we are winning. If using us the fans is what it takes to motivate these guys then so be it, but I and we are still going to speak the truth and hold coaches and players accountable when they aren't doing a good job and right now, having 0 recruits in the class is just unacceptable and ridiculous! Period! Go IU! Lets win the big ten tournament and keep winning! God Bless!!

A good coach plays the hand he is dealt!! This old HUMP wants to eff off and act like he won something…… he did he got a multimillion contract from the dumbest people in college basketball!!
We haven’t had a good coach since we ran off Sampson for “phone calls”!! The dumbest person in the world who got IU the death penalty over that….:.. while others were handing out bags of money, creating fake classes, and hiring strippers/whores!!!!!!!
