RIP Pharoah Sanders. First-time listen to his 2021 collaboration with UK electronic musician Floating Points (Sam Shephard) & The London Symphony Orchestra. Sanders was a pivotal figure in avant-garde jazz and spiritual jazz. He died today at the age of 81.

Glad I clicked on the video, I love this album and enjoyed the extra context you added. I was already a fan of The Creator has a master plan but didn’t know one of the inspirations was Górecki!

I'm so glad to see you check this album out! If you enjoyed this movement, I bet you'll love hearing the whole album all the way through on your own. It's quickly become one of my favorite albums of all time, and it takes on new significance for me now after Pharoah Sanders' passing. Thanks for the video!

I feel like a better showcase of Pharoah on this album would’ve been Movement 1, but still amazing pick! I have this on vinyl and it’s amazing

Bummer the track didn't feature (almost) any sax, but fantastic pick regardless - Pharoah is a LEGEND! I definitely hear a lot of Alice Coltrane influence on the string arrangements here! 💜💜

👍 loved this album although some people like my Dad found it too repetitive. But if you like more repetitive music like techno you're going to like it.
