I heard the old Orpheus at a show years ago - 'only' £9,000 they were - but still 6x as much as my car cost! What are these? £51,000? That's 335 times more than I paid for the 560S I was listening to this with....still sounded good though.
Love my focal clear for the intimate reason, i owned the HE1000 Stealth for awhile and compared it to the clear thoroughly, ended up returning the he1000 stealth because i just couldnt get into the music because it was so "wide" sounding. IMO headphones for musical enjoyment should be intimate sounding like the vocalist is whispering in your ears. im tempted to get a HD 6XX/600 but i feel like its just a little less of a focal clear @@csch92

These do sound amazing, as well they should, but it would still be nice to get an A/B comparison to other super high-end headphones(as you do in your other videos) just so we could hear the differences relative to each other, and see if they are really worth an extra $50k or so. I mean, if I had $60k to spend, I think I might buy the Focal Utopias, along with a really good DAC and amp, and a NICE CAR before I bought these, but maybe that's just me.
Listening on my Shure SE846, which basically have subwoofer built in the monitors. Combined with these, that bass is ridiculous. Thank you for this video!
Why my hd800s is bass cannon now but in a reality this shows every nuance of the music and how lively it can be just so smooth :D Super cool sound demo!
Inspite of what my so-called audiophile friends would say when you take excellent quality audio tracks and down convert them to AAC audio encoding, (RU-vid's format) the audio quality will still produce fine results even on top tier audio equipment. 👍
Top of the line. I think I will still rather listen to a violin live than through this though, it's close but not lifelike. Cannot imagine what the best headphones will sound like in 20 years.
You are listening it through your headphones. This demo is compressed by internet and RU-vid but still it sound great. It is not made to sound like real they are made to sound good and I can say these sound far better than real life
@@harnoorsingh2866 If you're talking about compression, there is nothing compressing audio waves from an actual instrument reverberating in the air into your ear canals. "Far better than real life" doesn't even make sense. We have different definitions of what makes something "better".
So what, do you have real life orchestra in your home everytime you want to hear it? Of course real life violin sounds better, don't see the point of even stating that like it's some sort of newsflash. You can't hear real violin everytime you want and you can't hear you favorite music anytime you want live obviously.

It's 500x the price of a violin, 100x the price of a nice headphone/speaker, and it will not stand the test of time as technology rapidly advances. And it's hard to drive. If you love music, go to a concert. If you can afford this, you'll be too busy to use this. It's a sneak peak into the future, otherwise a mindless purchase.

Comparing what you can buy with that kind of money is pointless because these headphones are not for someone who doesn't have literally millions to spare. That concert argument is also pointless. You can go often to the concerts but you can't go to a concert every day, even if you could, I mean c'mon, you would want something that's close to listen whenever you want when it comes to headphones and If someone wants the best headphones, this is it, no doubt, no matter the price. The price comparisons don't count here because if you are looking at it that way you know you don't have enough money to not worry about it. I assume that whoever buys this also has everything else high end when it comes to audio. You are saying like people are going to buy this and have nothing else, like for example some crazy expensive speakers. It would be like me saying buying Rolls Royce is pointless because I can buy a house and a decent car for that money. No one is buying Rolls Royce who thinks that way because it means you are money restricted and whoever is money restricted is not even gonna think about those purchases. Would I buy these headphones if I had 20 million dollars on my bank account? Yes. Would I buy them now if I only had money to buy these and nothing else? Of course not. That's the thing, it wasn't made not for those kind of people, financially.

The thing with this headphone is that while you know and hear you are listening to a sound test with other headphones which makes the sound break down, this makes you feel like you are actually listening the song directly on high quality
Makes me wonder what they would sound like through a typical headphone amp. They sound very nice. 60k? If I had it, I would find many other things to spend it on. The low end is quite amazing though and everything sounds extremely smooth. Like others state; it made these HD400 Pros sound better.
ok the timbre is unbelievably good. The bass sounds like it's rumbling, so I can't tell if there's midbass at all or is it just super wide that the bass reverbs. Listening from 1060C planars. You can get this level of separation and bass depth with $300-800 planar magnetic headphones these days. No need to spend $60k.
Are you stating this based on listening to the video itself or have you listened to them yourself? Because based on my experience listening on Sennheiser's Singapore experience booth myself i would say the soundstage and seperation literally depends on what song youre listening to and it goes the same with bass, it doesnt try to enforce "fake detail/seperation" on you and try to push the limits of what is possible in headcan tonality, as i believe the HE-1 is the most tonally fun-perfect headphone thus far.
@@degou3438 The he-1 is not just a headphone, it is an integrated system that includes a dac and amp. It's a great product, of course, but I think there must be a better way to spend big bucks for life.
Yes, from this demo it seems that they are really neutral throughout the whole frequency range, except for sub bass. The bass below 35 hz or so seems to be quite elevated, making the sound 'huge'. I wonder if this is what they sound like in reality, or if this is just the way they come across through this recording methode. They probably sound super impressive in reality.
which is not the case. the He-1 is the best headset ever made. If even a compressed RU-vid video sounds fantastic, well, in real life people cried when they heard it.
@@degou3438 realistic is those monitoring earbuds you get for studio purposes, if Cbat by Hudson Mohawke suddenly sounds good then its actually unnatural, which is not a bad thing because harman/dynamic tuning never really was
A me non a impressionato per niente, voci distanti, pochissimo head-stage, bassi profondi ma poco incisivi, gli alti sembrano assenti, la riproduzione della musica classica è un disastro, ci sono cuffie molto migliori.
