Excellent review. IMO you described every aspect of the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 earbuds along with your commentary on each of the features and specs. I purchased these earbuds and I am extremely happy to say that I enjoy my listening sessions. Continue to produce high quality videos which help us in our purchase decisions.
Thanks for a great review. Which phone do you have? I have a lossless compatible phone. Even if I select lossless i still get "adaptive" codec. Do you?
Sorry, I don't know, I got this IEMs as a loaner from the local store, and as it's their demo unit, they were already opened, so I didn't pay attention on that
Thanks for the neat review! Your detailed description of the companion app is very helpful. I am pumped for this because of that aptX lossless codec. If I get a new phone this year with Bluetooth 5.4, I’ll definitely get this. Let’s see what wonder that “mathematically lossless” transmission of audio data via Bluetooth does, as Qualcomm has claimed.
Even Aptx hd and LDAC sound very similar to a wired connection, the quality of the hardware, makes the most difference. I have an IFI Go Bar and a Go Blu, I enjoy both of them, any difference from using Bluetooth is almost imperceptible. Also bear in mind that when most people are using wireless earphones they're doing other things at the same time so not paying close enough attention to notice any difference. Not that you asked me but, I wouldn't go to the expense of buying a new phone to access a new codec.
@@mrfrosty3 I agree, mostly. And don't worry, I'm not rushing to buy a new phone just for a new codec either! 😜 It's just that my Pixel has become a 3-times-charge-a-day phone these days and I'm planning to buy a new one this year or the next. So I thought it would be cool to buy one with that newest codec onboard. But that new codec is not the primary factor in any way. Now, the serious part. I mostly agree with what you've said about the codecs and good hardware. But in my experience, compression in codecs like aptX HD or LDAC sucks out the soundstage and vividness from most tracks in classical music. I can clearly discern missing details when I listen to them in wired headphones as compared to Bluetooth ones. I am an avid listener of classical music. So, I'm hoping that this new codec will be different. If Qualcomm delivers on its promises, it will be a game changer in the wireless music industry. They did a good job when they released the aptX adaptive. Let's hope that they deliver on their promises this time, too. Fingers crossed!
