I have been super happy with mine and I have Beoplay EX and Jabra 10 elite. I have not had any trouble with white noise in transparency mode. I have had them 3 weeks and no problems. I tested Wavelet EQ app and the sound is amazing!! Even though they are a bit chunky they are comfortable. I even sleep with them in.

my only complaint is I am usually on video calls on my MacBook Pro. Sennheiser, automatically without prompting me, transfers to incoming call on my iPhone. I know, I can disable the BT to the iphone but then I lose access to the app. I am brand new to Sennheiser, so I am hoping I am missing some setting that prevents this scenario from happening.

I like the momentum3s sound quality is better than the momentum 4s There is much of an upgrade, so I’m sticking with my momentum 3s . I used to buy bose and beats at the momentum 3s I’ll never buy them other ones again the sound is crisp and clean and the base is clear. Apple should have bought the Senhauser to use as there go to the beats base, sounds muddy compared to the Sennheiser momentum 3s. I have the beats pros they do come close. But for the same $300 price range, Sennheiser are better quality sound

Really like this case so much!! Not like most others made with the cheap plastic material!! And it stands upright!! And it doesn't scratch easily or have to fork out extra $$ to buy a case for a case!! 😂 It just feels so premium!! Yes, smaller would be nice and the USB C charging socket moved to the back of the case too!! 😂

I don't know why the Samsung S series phones, (especially the Ultra) with the Snapdragon Chips don't support the Snapdragon sound - I know their Galaxy buds don't support Snapdragon sound or AptX.. Very annoying!! 😡😡

yep. i can understand for midrange segment. but intentionally limiting codecs for your flagship phone is just bullshit

Do I need to do anything to use the snapdragon sound? Or its in the sennheiser app?

@@HeavenRoadV - Firstly your android phone has to be compatible. (Samsung phones and Google Pixels don't support it). Then go into the Sennheiser app> > Settings, and select "Audio resolution" > tick - high resolution. Then go into your phone's Bluetooth menu > select your Momentum 4 > check "HD Adaptive". When you reconnect your buds, it should display, "AptX" on the bottom of the screen for about 2 seconds.

Very disappointed that you didn't point out the loud and annoying white noise issue in transparency mode that's been pointed out in other RU-vid videos and has not been improved since the MTW 3s' has the same issue!! The mic sounded good in your video and blocked out the wind noise. I really like this premium case also but wish it was a little smaller and the USB C charging port is at the back!!

Why would you be disappointed in the fact he didn't mention an issue that others did? At this point it's just time to buy your own pair and make your own judgement. And, he did mention he noticed a faint hiss when no music was playing. Why are you seeking confirmation bias on a pair of ear buds that you have not tried for yourself. I have every single version of the MTW ear buds and found that the best sounding ones were the MTW3s but they were also the worst regarding hardware, mostly because one of the buds would lose power and volume and it was maddening because you thought maybe a reset would work and it just didn't! That's the only reason I'm hesitant to buy the MTW4s. That being said, I'm buying them, 😀

@@chillywill95831 - because it's a major issue!! What if this is the first review someone has watched and also it's helpful to get a second opinion and have confirmation from another source. And I feel it's his job to mention that and not just skimmed over it. It's only faint if you turn the transparency right down. I have the 3s too and I feel Sennheiser should have addressed this issue before releasing this new model. For example, Sony WH1000 XM4's mic performance was trash but they fixed it with the XM5 on release. Yes, can buy a pair to find out like you said but at this price point it's quite an expensive experiment. Because that's Sennheiser's job to R&D and experiment in order to release a new product that has addressed the issue/s from the 3s'. If these weren't from a renowned brand and in their flagship status, I wouldn't be too critical about it. And I do have a pair of these. That's why I'm disappointed he didn't mention this because maybe he got incentive/s from this video.

@@chillywill95831 - because that's his job. What if this is the first video someone has watched about these buds? It's helpful to get a second opinion and know someone else has experienced this also. Yes, he briefly mentioned it but just skimmed over it. Of course it's only a slight white noise if one turns the transparency right down. I have the 3s, Sennheiser replaced them when the left bud didn't charge. I have the 4s too, so I'm very disappointed that Sennheiser didn't fix or improve this issue before releasing the 4s. For example, Sony WH1000 XM4's mic performance was trash but they fixed it when the XM5s were released. This is Sennheiser, which is renowned for their sound equipment but Apple managed to get the transparency and call quality on point with their first generation of Air Pod Pros'. Do you use the personalised sound feature with your 3s'? Supposed to improve the sound quality even more.

@@chillywill95831For me the best sounding ones were TW1. However things that are not subjective should be mentioned in review and the fact that they are not connecting on Window 11 or have an issue on Pixel phones should not be omitted by serious and honest reviews. Yes they have a pretty bad hissing sound in one of the buds and you also have noticeable noise in transparent mode. That is of course somewhat subjective and can be a problem or not for you. However Chanel presenting itself as a speaker expert should mention it and if not they should be called on it. Otherwise this is just a nice advertisement.

Yeah except they don't connect to Windows 11 (firmware 5.3.5) and after pairing they do not connect automatically to Pixel phones. So for Windows 11 users and pixel phone users be warned. Also they have Tinnitus-like pricing sound in one of the earbuds in transparent mode when music is not playing and this is not just isolated issue. Yes the sound is good and the ANC is good but you have lot's of alternatives that have no connection issues or transparency mode issues with fantastic sound. I don't think premium brands should should allow something like this slip through quality control. Unfortunately Sennheiser is doing this since TW 1. While it was understandable back then there is no excuse for it in 2024. For example Deviale Gemini 2 sounds much better to me, especially out of the box.

MTW3 s are so much better. MTW4 are not as loud, less bass, connection issues, terrible, absolutely terrible ANC. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. U can litteraly hear songs playing im gym, even fully hear songtexts when u dont use atleast 70 to 80% of the MTW4s. Had 2 Pair of MTW4 and sent them back. Believe me when i say, they are not worth 300 bucks

These reviews are misleading and fake, IMO These are a terrible set and not even a real upgrade. It is more like they painted it a new color rebranded the Gen 3s as Gen 4s, and changed some software settings, but the hardware is the same. The Technics EAH-AZ80 is significantly better in sound quality, connectivity, noise cancellation, and, most importantly, transparency mode, which is on the same level as the Airpod Pros 2.

Well said. I got these and sent them back in less than 24 hours. No upgrade whatsoever from the MTW3.

Thanks for the comment. To say is fake is extremely disappointing this is not a paid review and many other respected review channels also rate these headphones. There are few negative viewpoints on your pair of EAH-AZ80 from respected people who have been testing many different headphones for years, but you rate your pair highly. Your viewpoint would mean you are misleading & fake which may not be true as certain products fit different people. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.

Disagree I have both favorite are technics az80 but noise cancellation of momentum 4 are great. Had momentum 3 and like most people had to get replacements twice and connectivity was a problem as well. Sound quality better then sony xm5 which also had but are getting rid of because of connectivity issues. Transparency mode great and ANC equal and slightly better than sonys and the mw3. Sound scape also better than mw3. Replaced the earbuds like I do with all except the technics and the passive plus anc are top tier. For me technics and twm4 are 1 and 1a. Both fav pair of buds. Surprised me as I expected not to be much better than mw3.
